When I and others have tried to open the OverClocker a second time after closing Windows popped up a couldn't load driver error. Shortly after that a couldn't read bios error would pop up. It happened to me most of the time (once is a while it would reopen again) with the XL so I just learned to leave it open all the time. Other experience with it may vary as always.

Mine ran .030 low on Vdd and .035 low on Vcore. While I metered Vddq I didn't bump it up either. The undershoot will probably vary from card to card due to tolerance in the regulator chip itself and the components supporting it in the feedback circuit.

Oh I am sure it is not an across the board thing. Nothing ever is. Given card in a given system is surely a factor. For me it was just something I had to learn to work around.

I got my XT in today.

I tried to flash it to my Uber XL bios and it failed. I was able to flash back to original XT bios without any problems.

Out of the box it wants to do ~ 750/880

40K Netburst should be incomming soon.

Thats exactly what mine do as well fugger. Is it a club-3d card??? i´m starting to think that there some kind of bug. my card does not care if its 11 degrees or 52 degrees. it clocks exactly the same nomatter temps 750/880 :confused:

its strange that both our cards max out at the exact same clocks though.

Mine is a BBA

The current issues can hopefully be fixed with bios update. After playing with the XT for a few days now I cannot tell between XT and XL image quality and performance.

I wil be back on 2K1 for my 40K goal this weekend.

The highest score besides myself on the orb is Shamino with a little over 37K. I was first over 38k and 39k with the XL

Cascade on the CPU and 41K+ should be my new goal.

I am very strong on 2K3 and 2K5 though and PCMark Intel is very strong.

10k/20k... Sounds like what my 315 dollar stock cooled 7800gt and 220 dollar opteron with plain old water would have done if I had vdd/vgpu mods on it :|

I had 8.5k/18.7k with no LoD tweaking @ 3ghz cpu. Graphics far from max because no mods. Are you ever going to put one of your systems under a cascade instead of that vapo? I figured since you have access to the best cooling around and tons of hardware you'd be posting some big records... :(

ohh...by the way fugger, i already flashet my BIOS on my x1800xt, but did not do any difference at all. hoping another better bios will be around soon. and better drivers as well:)

I would have 10k but I did not want to risk a 335 dollar card that would only be in my bench rig for another 6 hours as my new gaming setup will be here any second.

What a difference more CPU makes. Finally broke 10k (10,184) in 3DM05 running 729/1710
with a 2900Mhz Opertron.

Best I could do before with a 512mb cache SledgeClaw at 2700Mhh was 9809 @ 736/1710.

The cards core OC dropped with the faster CPU keeping the GPU loaded up more I guess.

John, grats on the 10K from the XL. Damn nice cards for the money imo, clocks nearly the same as my XT except the XL memory was easier to push.

The 512MB on the XT helps some.

Thanks Fugger. System speed is still holding the score down but that is a project on the back burner for now.
