2100+ Tbred AIUGB.... one killer CPU... 2506MHz...

Prime95 -> you use the "torture test" option in the program.
It stresses cpu & mem, so you can check to see if it's stable.
If it's not stable, it tells you it had an error in calculations.
If it's stable, it just keeps running.

Usually you can tell if something is stable within 10-20 minutes. I will let mine run a couple hours to test, when I'm finalizing something.
You can also use it as a burn-in proggy.

Search for it on google.

Very interested in the results, so definitely post them.
2100 mhz on air for $101 is a good ratio -> $.21 per mhz. :D

Well, I just said screw it and ordered one. I'll do like everyone else and post back when it comes in. The thing about it is that newegg lists it as AXDA2100DUT3C which should pretty well guarantee it to be a Thoroughbred "B", but the only question now will be as to whether it is one of the "good" AIUGB's, or one of the crappy JIUGB's. All I can do is hope. :rolleyes:

For now there's no indications for a presence of JIUCB 2100+ ;) Only AIUGBs :cool:

AIUHB i have seen and is what i am seeing recently. One person has one now at 2.5 ghz at 2 volts.

I have one of the 2100 Tbred Bs that was ordered from Newegg. It is AIUHB stepping. My KT4 Ultra (KT400) board doesn't give me multiplier control so I am out of luck there. Anyway, i set to using Fuzzy Logic 4 to try and overclock it and the system locks up at anything over 140 using the stock voltage. How do I get higher? My goal is to get to 166 mhz.

Well, first thing is, what kind of RAM are you running? If you don't up the Vmem, 140 is about where most PC2100 quits. Also, using Fuzzy Logic does not always work as well as booting with the desired FSB from the bios. Also, why do you say the board doesn't give you multiplier control? Are the L1 bridges cut on your CPU? I haven't seen any Thoroughbreds with cut L1's. Make sure you have the most recent bios. My 745 Ultra allows up to a 15X multiplier which should be plenty to test it a bit further if you only have PC2100 memory. If the memory is the problem, try upping the Vmem. Some sticks of memory respond really well to that. Try about 2.8V and see what happens. I know that board has to have at least as many overclocking options as mine. If it is not your memory, try connecting the last L3 bridge (on the right side). That will open up the lower multipliers (12.5 and below) if your board does not already do that for you. Then run up your FSB to 166 and see what you can get out of it from there.

On a tip for Knight ELite that is exactly what I did and I was able to boot into windows and complete a 3dmark test successfully. Currently the system is running at 2172 mhz with no problems whatsoever. 166x13, memory is using ultra timings @ cas2.

Voltage is currently set at 1.7 but to be honest, I raised that at the same time I raised the FSB to 166. I haven't tried to boot it at 1.65 or 1.6.

not cas 2.0.
the samsung cas 2.5 pc2700 will usually hit about 180-185 mhz.
512 meg stick for $130.

cas 2.0 vs cas 2.5 = not a very big difference. For me = 100 3dmarks. 2.0 more unstable, but again, this was a 2.5 chip.

tunaman i have an MSI KT3 which from what i know it wouldn't run at anything other than 'normal' to hit high front side bus speeds ...... if you wanna go higher than 166 maybe you should back it doen from ultra to fast or normal

They cost quite a lot overhere ($144) (in comparison with USA) but I think it will be worth every cent; 2400+ costs exactly twice that amount.

I'm gona go and O/C it, but I only have Zalman Flower Cu ( and a TT Volcano 6+ with that acreamer of a fan nearby) so I don't expect too much from this cooling setup, but it should still be interesenting. I'm gonna let some cool air in :) and that should help things a bit.
