Not likely a fluke - probably an example of a maturing platform and will be generally available in time.
I was lucky enough to get a low voltage barton desktop cpu which was fully unlocked - they only came out after the process was sufficiently matured that they could release lower TDP/voltage models.
This was also the case with Tbred B's if you cast your mind back.
i guess these are for mobile laptops like the new alienware
sooo.. this one won't be out and replace the current ADA cpus?
It will eventually
so this thing below is just a typo?..

Just a quickie...
since this CPU is a VPMW (same as OPB's awesome non coldbugged one) any chance this will have any similar characteristics? No coldbug and great clocker under sub-zero?
was - now there is one that still is....what your plans for next week?Quote:

I think it's all about power Consumption. :)
ADA4400DAA6CD
ADV4400DAA6CD
That's what I said like 3 weeks ago
bump...... so are these ADVs in the retail channels yet and where can I get one??? :stick:
ADV4400DAA6CD is very interesting.
Look at this.
http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desk...=ADA4400DAA6CD
L1 Cache is "128KB" instead of "128KB + 128KB".
This is a major change, I think.
Can we buy ADV4400DAA6CD now?
Does it have one core without L1 cache? :stick:
Max Temp 71°C 65°C
Thermal Power 89W 110W
L1 Cache 128KB 128KB + 128KB
No, the 128K is shared :p:Quote:

The chip still has 2 L1 caches, just lower power usage.
from that link to amd compare your actualy going to have to see the chip. The box is still going to be ADA4400CDBOX for both. I'll definitly be picking up one of these ADV4400's when they become available. Any news on that front?
Right.... this explains the question I asked in the tcasemax thread... LOL
I completely overlooked the "V"..
