I wonder if you just got a bad board? Or maybe there are slight differences between the Jetway and Evga boards? Maybe the Jetway's that didn't have good overclocking abilities were the ones that were rebadged? Seems odd that you can't get over 250 when Anandtech got 314 :(
I can do 300x9 easy on with my 3000+ but the ram cannot go over 250 so I have to use a divider to keep it at 200. It has an issue since others are having it and they acknowledge the problem.Quote:

I been reading the Anandtech review and this thread, and checking out the eVGA deal on Newegg. I've noticed that Newegg has 2 different eVGA boards based off this same design:
1) eVGA 133-K8-NF41 is the on that comes with This combo deal. Although not listed in the detailed spacs, it will work with the athlon 64 x2 check it: http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/133-K8-NF41.pdf. Does not support SATA II though.
2) eVGA 133-K8-NF43 supports athlon 64 x2 and does support SATA II. It's available for $110 Here, but without the combo offer.
Don't know if the SATA II support is that big of a deal, but If the above mentioned Jetway BIOS flashed to the eVGA board works to make it a good overclocker, then I'm gonna get this as soon as I can. If the combo deal is no longer available when I can afford it, then I may just get the Jetway 939GT4-SLI or the eVGA 133-K8-NF43.
Do both boards use the same BIOS?Quote:

btw i flashed my evga to the jetway bios with success but im not sure what the benifit is as it seems the same but it gets rid of the annoying splash screen. does anybody know the best jetway bios to use especially for a 3000 and some hynix ram that does 270-280 2.5-3-3-7 thanks

My apologies folks. The eVGA 133-K8-NF41 is the 1 that supports SATA II, the 133-K8-NF43 does not. I got them backwards. Furthermore, the 133-K8-NF41 is the one that supports SLI, the 133-K8-NF43 does not, however..., I couldn't help but notice the pictures of the boards look exactly the same at both newegg and at eVGA's website. The non SLI version still shows 2 PCI-E 8X slots and 1 PCI-E 16X slot. Kinda makes me think of back when some of you folks were taking DFI non-SLI boards and turning them into SLI, wonder if the same is possible w/ the NF-43.
eVGA has a bios update for thier 133-K8-NF41 board Here! Would love to hear more info on how they are working for you folks. Thx.
i have a 7800GT and the non SLi (NF43) coming today. does anyone have any input on if the jetway bios' work for the NF43 aswell ? seems the the NF41 has the issues, i havent ran across any feedback on the NF43 ?
I would imagine that would work, AFAIK at this point the nf4 chips are the same with the jumpers deciding SLI & SATAII operation.Quote:

Tried 200 1T 2.5-3-3-7 to 200 2T 3-4-4-11 and everything in between. Don't want a divider with those sticks. DFI doesn't need divider!
Tried 2X, 3X, 4X.......
Tried Blue sockets, tried yellow sockets.
Tried more voltage, tried less voltage....
Tried BIOS A02, A03, and EVGA A04... Same thing....
With 2X256, 9X315 is fine at 200 1T 2.5-4-3-7, 3X
Anyone gotten above 250 with 2X512 with any stability???
A64 Tweaker shows that Trtw is set automatically to 2. That is too tight for me above 250. Setting it to 4 with the Tweak allows me to get to 275, but no way to run Memtest
I'm going to e-mail Westly Fink, as the Anandtech review did not mention mem settings that I could find....
Specs in siggy:
Nice to see someone else have the exact same issues with his gskill. It gets weird after 250HTT using clockgen.Quote:

Shame, it's a real nice board for $125 or what ever it is...
2X256 is no problem. Go figure!:
http://www.lejabeach.com/sisubb/jetw...li090705-1.jpg
the issue is that it cant get above 250htt or the memory cannot reach 250fsb? So if we use dividers and keep the memory fsb at or below 250fsb, we should be kosher right?
Well, that's probably true, but I didn't pay about $250 for memory to run it with dividers. Value RAM...., sure, use dividers...
On the DFI nF4-UltraD and many other boards I've tested, 2X512 of G.Skill "LE", Patriot "XBLK" and OCZ Rev2 all clock to in excess of 300 to 320 without using dividers at 2.5-4-3-7 2T.. Some do 300 at 1T....
So this baby needs BIOS revisions to get past 250.... And the 1st thing we need is all the memory timings accessable...
Hey Rebel can you see if the vdimm and vcore is accurate on this with your multimeter?
Sweet thanks Rebel!
I remember your name from around the DFI NF3 939 Mobo discussion on DFI-Street, lol
Did you get rid of that POS mobo too?
No, I have it.... Actually I had very little trouble with it..... I bought this board and the A210GDMS-Pro to be able to report on them for my forum members....
Just a quick question. The Anandtech review says it has 4 sata2 connectors, but the Jetway website says they are sata1. Which is it? I assume they are the sata2 that the NF4 has, but I just want to be sure before I order it tomorrow.
Thanks.
Shawn
Hello to all of u guys......
I'm intrested in buying Jetwat 939 gto2.......
i have 2*256 bh and i would like to know if i will have any problems......thx........
I've never owned BH, so I can't say, but, yesterday I noticed that the eVGA 7800GT/NF41 (Jetway copy) combo deal is back at Newegg, and is $100 cheaper than it was a couple months ago.
eVGA 256-P2-N518 Geforce 7800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video
$359
eVGA 133-K8-NF41 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

wow 359 for a 7800gt and a free sli mobo thats an insane deal!! if you factor the cost of the mobo at 120 bux then it makes the card only 239 dollars thats pretty good
could even sell the mobo for 100 bux or so and get a still really cheap 7800
