I havent been able to duplicate that same result. One instance it actually detected L4 cache???? Ive been getting either 1mb L2 or 1MB L3 and it fluctuates...I dont know...Its definatly a wierd CPU.

Have you tried to contact the Intel tech support ? Ask then what a heck is that cpu , maybe they have some software to identify it correctly .Quote:

Some of the confusion is 661FX chipset.
P4C800 mobo should work fine and you should have an 8x multiple.
One thing that should stand out is that this chip is a socket 478.

that cpu doesnt look like a gellatin core cpu... or at least the surface mount stuff on the bottom doesnt look the same.

Although the one is abit related to the other.
Every superconductor has it's own Tc (=critical temperature = temp where the resistance go 0Ohm). Some of their Tc's are nearly 0K (thought it was quicksilver). And that kind a cooling is quite expensive :D

I've heard of basic cpus made from superconductors. Was wondering though, couldn't you theoretically reach an infinite speed, as they won't be consuming power since 0 resistance.
