OPP:toast: ,
well, what can i say...? very nice:) i'll be waiting for your 3dmark run at that speed. however you may have hard time to beat nForce 2 score even with more mhz juice flowin out of VIA chipset. i hope i'm wrong cos i wanna see AMD stealing #1 spot once again:D
Wow. If you can do that with your cooling I can only imagine what my setup will do :D Same stepping, only its a 2600+. 226 watt Peltier as well. Lookin good :D
Just for kicks let 's see a 3d score at 198X15. My 2800+ has the same stepping with week 44 and highest it will do 3d is around 2850. So how high is the car high test at 2976?
Alright, its time for AMD to take the ORB back...will someone plz give us a fully-working NF2 board? :)
I think there would be alot of depends getting handed out if he can do that...... heheheh
" Ummmmmmmmmmm JC...........UMMMMMMM sorry bro.............."
heheh
Hell, I want to see JC back on and AMD too :p
I want to see Opp with a 8RDA+ with 2.2V on the core!! And a pelted epox NB.....Quote:

He has the CPU, the mem, the cooling, only a good board is missing for a 22k 3dmark!
NICE job man keep it up!!
ovp seems to kick in at 2.05 on the Asus using the 6301 Abit mod technique.Quote:

By the way that is one awesome chip, don't know whether to try one of those or go for a Barton
Shad
wow nice oc op! i have a simmilar chip XP2700+ AIUGB 02462PBW. I wonder if mine could get that high :D. btw, my ASUS A7V8X goes to 2.05v with the overvolt jumper... gonna have to try that later. :D

If you think 22k will be achived right now with 8rda+ which is a EPOx mobo on a AMD cpu you better wake up from your sweet dream
I´ve had my 8rda+ for a few days and I can tell you it suffers from the "high fsb slowdown sindrome" like every other Epox mobo I´v owned , with 8k3a it could be solved with cpufsb or wpcredit , and cpufsb doesnt work with 8rda+ and wpcredit is a bit of a nightmare and I doubt it will help as you dont have a screen to tweak but 6 or 7 see pic
and please dont come with sandra benchmark bull§§§§ because my testing was done with 3dmark ;)
all you can do is wait for a fast bios from EPOX and a cpufsb compatible with 8rda+
Can't just do a simple "record registers @ XXX FSB & apply them @ YYY FSB", SKATAN?
many wont change and
doing that method most of the time it will lock
Boooo. We need NF2 SetFSB :)
i think we need a rivatuner nforce2 compatible as i dont see a Pll on the board :)
Well, something ;)
How bad you think ur gonna beat ur 8K3A score w/ that thing? :D
I'm gonna run the whole test a few times, but I just ran my 8rda+ at 220 fsb x10 ( 2200) and 177fsbx12.5 ( 2213) and the score was a little worse with the lower speed fsb(177).
I am not doubting you here Skatan, as I have heard of this issue b4.
I only ran car chase, I just wanted to get a feel for this, as I said b4 I will run the whole test to verify.
Both times were under a fresh boot, no other settings changed.
The scores were within reason of each other, and could have been the difference of between any 2 runs.
I have to run out first, but will BBL.
muzz
@skatan
do you use multiplier under 10 for high fsb?
this would explain your perfromance drop @ high fsb!!!!!!!
register e4 and e5 only changes between multiplier 9,5 and 10 and are responsible for the perfomance drop with multiplier under 10. register d5 always changes if any multiplier is changed!!
with multiplier 10 my 8rda+ scales nicely up to 215 fsb sync dual channel with 2422 timings which is the limit for my twinmos pc3200. on my 8k3a+ this ram also doens't go higher.
with my 8rda+ and xp 1800+ tbred @ 10x210fsb sync i get the same 14500 3dmarks i got with the 8k3a+ with an xp2400+ @2368mhz and 190fsb with 2522 1t command and fully tweaked with wpcredit and use of setfsb(no performance drop with setfsb over 185fsb and bios 2312 or 2812 which are the best performer for 8k3a+).same other components are used (geforce 4ti 4400, sb live ....).
look @ this thread and tell me again thta the 8rda+ have a performance drop @ high fsb. i owned the 8kha+ and the 8k3a+ and know what performance drops q high fsb look like;)
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&threadid=6664
the 3dmark score in this thread is with my ti4400 @300/650
my xp2400+ 14500 score was with 315/670!!!
Well I just ran at 220x10 , and 177x12.5 ( 12.5 was a little higher overall speed 2224-2210)
My scores for the 2 are as follows:
16058 -12.5x177 2224mhz - according to 3dmark
16579 -10x220 2210mhz -according to 3dmark
I cannot seem to be able to publish the 220mhz score, maybe there were a few memory errors or something I dunno( I had to try it 3 times to get it to finish 3dmark at 220 5-2-2-2 timings).
I looked at the results, and they are very similar, none of that really high score crap that happens when you see a bogus score- on any of the tests.
If I have to drop it down to 215 and whatever to figure this out where both can actually be published then I will, as I know I can publish at 215.
I wasn't going for maximum overclock/score here guys, I was just trying to make everything the same except the fsb.
nout wrong with the 8RDA+ at high speed FSB....
least not for me...
save the score muzz, then you should be able to publish it mate...
I did just that mark - thanks bro, how do I publish after it's saved?..... as a matter of fact I redid it again at 215 x10 ( which if my math is correct is 2150) and beat the higher mhz again(16357), but says I cannot publish ( I've published 215 scores b4..........I'm almost sure of it)and the speed of it is way off, 3dmark online browser says it is 2092 mhz , and unknown processor.
Skatan .. that explains my poor scores at 3dMark. Damn!
