havent tried 2.2 volt, my bet 2480/2500 but prolly not all that stable.
XP2400 auicb in nf7-s corsair xms 3200ll prommie cooled:D
My first ever overclock,
CPU: 2600+ 333
Stepping: AIUHB 0246
Cooling: Coolermaster HHC001 w/80mm Akasa Fan/adaptor (not putting water in anything electrical - I'm too accident prone 4 that)
Voltage:1.65
Motherboard: Asus A7N8X Dlx
System Memory: 2 x 256Mb OCZ EL PC3500
Overclock: 12 x 191 = 2293 Mhz
system idles at 38 degrees 47 while Prime95 is running.
I'm fairly pleased with my lil system, but I feel that the motherboard is a lemon as I've tried everything under the sun to get to 200fsb with no luck. I'll hold on till the revision 2.0 Nforce2 motherboards are in circualtion and then see what happens. If i cant hit it then, at least I'll be all set for the 400mhz Atlons when they surface.
Have you tried changing the FSB jumper on your Asus? This is supposed to do the same thing as cutting the L12 bridge. My 2600+ wouldn't go over 185Mhz before I did this.
CPU: XP1700+ @ 208 x 12 = 2506mhz
Stepping: JUIHB 0308RPMW
Cooling: Air: Thermaltake Volcano 7+
Voltage: 1.85
Motherboard: Epox 8rda+
System Memory: 1x 256MB Samsung 2700 @ 2.77v
Excellent suggestion, and I do concur with your theory having studied the wall 333FSB CPU's seem to hit when attempting to reach 200FSB speeds or greater.Quote:

I think it has something to do with the I/O pins;
"...running a higher FSB requires more power in order to drive the I/O pins into their correct states. It may be that AMD did a redesign of the I/O buffers to try and reduce their power requirements, to keep the chip within some kind of power budget.... Aedan from AOA.
He goes on to imply this may be due to AMD gearing up to introduce a higher FSB processor. No sooner did he make that statement, then the 400MHz FSB was introduced. So while an obstacle for current 333FSB processor owners, it's eventual refienment will prove to ameliorate the problem, and the better news is they must be very close in the release of the 400FSB processor.
Would you mind posting the rest of your CPUID, specifically the second line of code please. BTW great overclock!!!Quote:

i just found out that my 2400+ that i bought from googlegear back in january is a thoroughbred "b", downgraded from a 2800+!! i cant wait to oc this thing haha:banana:
Got some updated info on mine. 0301MPNW *letters might be a little off. At school so I don't remember exactly. Last night had it doing 2715mhz@1.875V and got it to run some sandra benchmarks.
Last night was my first night of real test with my MCW462-UHT. I added ice to the water in my big temp. resivoir setup but I also had the pump in there putting off heat. I have a 2nd radiator on the way. I'll put up some pictures later tonight. I'm happy with it though :) Not sure how stable it was but the water was sure getting warm quickly.

probably could run a stable 11.5 if I didn't hate noise that much or the new fans were installed

Hello saaya; I see your subscribing to the "relabled" hypothesis. Although many believe it to be mere rumor I find the nominal overclock speed of each chip corroborates the theory. In the thread I started "Can recent TBred-B's be ID...." someone retorted the author at Bloodys.com retracted the validity of the 8th/9th 2nd line ID. He also claimed "his" experience after having four Tbred's the 30 (3000+) was the worst overclocker at 2300MHz, at 2.1V. I then retorted the The highest clocked AMD coming out is only 2167MHz (being the 3200+) it's PR model potential latent in the 512K/400FSB it brings to the table.Quote:

I'm not 100% convinced the theory's true myself. I don't work for AMD, however; in my opinion the correlating data surmounts mere coincidence.

Also look at this

ok the processor is at xp 2800 t-bred speeds and it out performs an xp 3000 barton according to this :)
I can't wait till they start making bartons that clock at 200 and mark some xp 3500 down to xp 2500:)
then those should hit 200 and overclock like hell :p hmm an xp 1700 better than an xp 3000 barton  a over 1300 performance rating overclock and a actual 787 mhz overclock not to shabby :D

I am glad to see this thread cause i am verry disapointed in my xp2600's oc but now i feel a little better seeing all the other oc's but i still think i can do better just a mater of figureing out how? hope to learn alot from this forum looks like there are alot of ocers here so this is a place for me for sure!!
later guys.. perc.
Here is the stepping:
AIUHB0306MPMW
I can buy these are these good ?
Welcome to the Xtreme Perc, nice to see ya here!
Volcom, I'd bet my solder-dropping collection you'll be able to base the overclock potential of that AIUHB by Perc's overclock results! Yep, that's what I said. BTW your talking about a 2100?
Yeb
So u recon this is a good steping right ?
Hey I just got my xp2100 haven't installed it yet,
What you recon is this a good one

not sure if i hit my max mhz @ 1.65 yet fsb limited and cannot get my over 13x multi's going. modded vcore to 1.6default on cpu and blew out 3rd and 5th L3 today in the hopes of higher multi. stuck at 13 now
hey guys got another oc to report to you guys...
this one im rather proud of but then agian with these xp1700s how can you miss? i mean i think im close to a 1000 mhz oc with air cooling running great temps rock solid.. damm i love amd and epox!!

now this is the speed im running this chip at 24/7 its a great chip i have had it running toast now going on 32hrs and im just about to shut the program off and test 2400 mhz and see if i can get it to run that cause the chip so far boots into windows at 2400 mhz and seems fine but i chose to back off and test the 2300 mhz first but from the looks of it this thing is verry stable at 2300 mhz and i suspect that 2400 mhz well yield the verry same results.. i just picked this chip up about two days ago and its been running non stop toast at this speed and im in love this chip is just a rock! when i installed it i booted right up with my xp2600 settings it took the 12.5x166 @2088 np i then rebooted and set it to 200x12 1.65v and it booted up fine i surfed around the web a little and checked the temps then rebooted set it to 11.5x200 1.65v @2300 mhz and this is where its been ever since and running non stop toast so i either got real lucky or these xp1700 are amazing either way i just ordered one more from game ve.com for a back up just incase... oh well ill get you guys the full stepping for those of you that are collecting them...
later perc.
you got really lucky my xp 1700 can only do 2200, and actually I discovered that while it ran prime 95 and all it wasn't all that stable, I bought an xp 2100 and turns out I got the OC you got :(
11.5x200 I can boot into windows with 12x 200 but it constantly crashes, unless I jerk the vcore to 1.9v
:( 11.5x200 at 1.84 :(
stable but not really all that good:(
I hoped for 2400 :(
got it at new egg stapping and stuff is in my last post in the thread
