Gigabyte 7800GTX, volt modded and on air :P

This is just crazy. 30c & 2.4vDDR +1750Mhz on ram sounds unreal. I thought that 7800's had 1.6ns ram as 6800U had. Dif size chips but still some people were running 2.4v and never got that far.

How hot does the ram get under that voltage and speed with just aircooling beats me. How is it stable to bench 3dmarks beats me even more.
If indeed such creat OC is a outcome of superb voltmod then you are the Hero man :D . Still that's very nice ram on that card if it can handle such speed.

Aslo have you play with card bios at all? There is a way to relax mem timings so your ram could get further in MHz just like pc ram does.

What did your gpu/mem maxed out at whit default cooling and voltage..??

My Gainward 7800GTX GS maxes out at 520/1505 with no modds what so ever ...wich gives my alot of hope that with some voltmodds, better cooling and alooooot of luck I might reach atleast somewhere near your clocks.

I am really curious to the results you can get without the
NGO nVidia Optimized Driver set you are using.
Have you done 05 single 7800gtx with regular 77.72 whql/fm drivers ?

I dont understand the mem clock at all.
This cant be 1.6 ??

The original cooling sucked so heavy that i ripped it off after testing the card at work with 1800Mhz AMD :D
Actually im giving 2.500v on mem and gonna give it 2.600v when going for 1850MHz
And NGO vs Original there were difference mear points but still :) I luv NGO.

Can you maybe give us some better pictures of the vmod because i can't see the soldering points for the vddr mod.

any artifacts in 3dmark03 Nature? im gettin some weird "tears", large blocks of black .... crap, flyin around in nature at only 495 core.. ughhh.. did i get a crappy sample or what?

Hmm maybe... without volt modd it was artifact free to 540MHz and maxed out at 560

sorry guy's, nothing new here- i use same old points for modificatins.
DDR was Samsung 1,6ns, 0519, if I remember correctly.
modded bios: 7800A1OC-7800A1OC-without Thermal monitoring.ROM from here
GPU cooler- Sphire SP441B0-F CoolWave- 100% copper, but it not so easy to install it..
