i find that i only have issues with dividers on my dfi with more than one stick in :slapass:

Ok, I have a feeling that its a heat related issue with my sticks so I removed the heatspreaders :slapass:

I agree with you. These sticks run REALLY hot with just 2.7v. I have a 92mm fan running atbou 2500rpm over the ram and they are still warm. Much warmer than my OCZ VX was at 3.6v with just a slow 80mm fan.

Cable tie a few 80mm fans together and slap em in there. :banana: Mine r slightly warm, by no means Hot.

I have an 60mm AMD hs fan over them ;) and a 40mm one over the power mosfets

I just picked up 2 sticks at newegg, did i get the right stuff? Whats the difference between the black and gold sticks? Also do these have LEDs?

The Tracer have led's and have the black heatspreader, the gold heatspreader are the regular Ballistix.

The Tracer's seem to OC alittle better, not sure if they have a different binning process or not.

L503 is the Tracer version and I don't think thise pics are necessarily right. Z503 is the non tracer (LED) version. Same underneath the spreader, but Crucial told me the L503 is marked for discontinuing. Don't know why.

Just asked Crucial about the L503 and Z503 again and they said they are both out of production now and a replacement part number will be out shorthly for a new set of tracers and regular 2x1gb with updated timings. Interseting.. . .. I think I'll wait and get the new part or ckeck out the new ocz kits.

Also, the regular ballistix takes more volts to OC.

Micron memory will heatup 2.7V and up. You can get higher speeds with 3.0V and up but you will need ram sinks and not heat spreaders with a good fan. Micon will give errors if the chips get above 60C to 65C so the key is to up the voltage and keep the temps under 60C.

This is what I did to keep the temps down on my 512 Micon -5B revC using 3.3V.
I can go to the max on my mobo at 268HTT and run 250HTT 2.5,2,2,5,T1.

Picked up my stick last week and just found this website. I will post what i have later. But the Memtest at 289@2.9v but i can not ran SuperPi. Have to work on that.

That sounds familure ! :D

same here, can pass memtest86 up to 290+ without any errors but get random errors in windows and PI32 not stable with anything over 270mhz.

I realy think its a heat problem. The test in windows your running realy heat up the mem chips and I beat the chips are hitting 65C to 70C.

I've started playing with 10x multi again since thats where my max OC will happen at 280mhz to 285mhz.

Here is 280mhz x10 and I'll tweak from there.

Edit: I didn't notice A64 tweaker opening messed up, I posted a pic of actual A64 settings

I am intrested in how these do with Tighter Timings too. I know I wont be able to get my Chip to OC that high, So I will want to use tighter timings.

What is the Highest Stable Speed you can reach at 2-2-2-1T?
