It will fit but the GTX has RAM on both sides of the card so you will only be cooling half of it.Quote:

I have a serious bug with these.....whenever i attempt to overclock with coolbits it will not allow me to alter the clock speed at all....if i try to force it, it just throttles the cards.......This is a known issue in the release notes.
I had to revert to the 77.50 for overclocking functionality to work......
I wonder if that's just an issue with coolbits and the latest driver release. Have you tried turning off the clock testing and using Rivatuner or does it matter if you're directly using the coolbits interface?Quote:

Your scoring an extra 1500 points than me, differences for me is that I am using the 77.50 drivers and the nVidia drivers for overclocking/tweaking.
If I go to the 77.72 drivers and use Rivatuner can I expect big gains or is it just the fact your CPU is clocked much higher your scoring 1500 more marks than me?
Any help or tips you can give would be appreciated to improve my scores. :)
P.S. Do you know the order to run the test in 3D Mark 2001 to get best result and does altering LOD amounts benefit 7800's for individual test and other 3D Marks? If so can you tell me what too use? :D
Thanks
Gibbo
its due the bottlenecked cpu i think:)
if you crank up that cpu you will see the real power:)
edit: tried lowering your gfx speed allready, to see whats going on

400 MHz more with Athlon 64 FX gives around 1000 points more. With GeForce 7800 GTX SLI 3DMark05 is very CPU intensive.Quote:

By the way Gibbo, if u don't mind me saying u could improve customer support. I had a right job buying my 2 7800Gtx's....
Voltage modifications done (VGPU and VMem). Unfortunately we encountered strange problem in SLI with Rivatuner. When performance was forced to 3D, other card didn't "join" the 3D Rendering and it's voltage didn't raise to 1,57V. When performance forcing was disabled voltaged raised but the system crashed everytime when GT1 started loading. I'll have to take more deep look into this. With single card everything seemed to work just great at +600/+1450.
you could try doing the clocks in the BIOS instead, i find rivatuner gets quite flaky when you reach high-ish speeds.
hi sampsa..
you have notice cold bugs' problems with the fx57?
thankx
lupa
how do you force 3d in riva tuner im crazy looking that option :$
it's in the overclocking tab, you can't miss itQuote:

Ok, got my 2nd FX-57 today, it's 0513. The first one is 0512.
I'll be testing the cards again today and see if I can figure out why the other card didn't join the 3D rendering. I'll try with different mobo also.
hi sampsa..
you have any cold bug's problems during the test with the fx57?
thank you
I haven't studied FX-55 and FX-57 cold bug completely yet.
Anyway to get pics of the mods or mod points? I should have a evga 7800gtx sitting on my porch when I get home. ;) No SLI but I'll see what I can do w/ a single card. :)Quote:

looks like at least part of the card is running at 40Mhz higher than set ....

Not really understanding the whole secrecy of the no-cold-bug BIOS... I'd personally love to get my hands on that--this is the first instance where there is a need for such a mod, so do you see what I'm getting at? People would do it either way. If they download a mod, or if the card comes like it standard.
But whatever.
SO WHERE ARE THE RESULTS ??? lots of talk but no numbers
