here's dual super pi
had to back down to 250 for CS:Source stability
sweet! just gets better and better :D
not sure if this is any good, have no frame of reference ;)
well john ... u can always send me 2-3 cpu's of your "small" collection and i'll give ya some idea of what's a good result ...
for free of course ... ! ;)
dual super pi at 255
identical scores looks like ;)
well, I think I'm out of cpu headroom. Maybe a bit higher with better cooling, or if I dared get up in volts, but tbh, this thing runs so buttery smooth right here, I don't want to push more volts and raise heat. 255 can't run 2x instances of super pi 32m. However, 250 can ;)
What's that smell? I think Intel just sharted :woot:
:slobber:
looks great! so it isn't that stable on 2.8? can't wait to get one of my own :D
i can't get it stable at 2.8 no. I tried mem divider and think it's a cpu limitation+ I'm memtest clean at 257 on this redline 3500 :). Frankly, I haven't been so excited about a cpu/system in well over 2 years. My 3200+ A64 winchester came very close, but this is just something altogether different. At 250 the system just smokes. Makes my 4.1Ghz prescott seem like a Cyrix :O. If these cpus were a bit more affordable and AMD could make enough of these, Intel might actually break a sweat. As it sits now, AMD will get some glory, but Intel will put out enough FUD to offset the truely amazing experience this cpu provides. Paired with Redline it's an uber setup for sure. I've been gaming on it for about 12hrs now and I can say that using a single core cpu will be "felt" if not only in reality, but in my psychosis too hehe!
This chip is hot! I would like santa to visit my house aswell! Please send him my adress JNav89GT! :p: Well you think the prices are expensive? Then you haven't seen the norwegian websites! 25% VAT in Norway and in addition they pump up the price even more! :slapass:
Nothing for Intel to be worried about. price range with the EE dual core it about the same and your performance on air overclocked is lower, much lower. Intel should have released the dual core with 266FSB, the 200FSB numbers are weak, and then you got reviewers using super slack timing to skew results even more. I dont need to point out anandtech article where they used 4-4-4-x timing on the intel at stock and 2-2-2-5 on AMD at stock, there is no excuse for crap like that.
As we move deeper into multithreaded territory AMD will fall behind in sales (Intel is going cheap) and it will hurt single core sales soon.
It is game over when Napa/Yonah reach the market. Intel has nothing to worry about.
lol fugger
crap like that has been happening to AMD reviews for years. Like I said, Intel will still make the $$$
but compared to my 4.1Ghz Prescott on water, compared to this A64x2 at 2.75GHz on Water, there is no comparison.
How come some ppl are blessed by the hardware Gods ? Is there no justice!?? :stick:Quote:

^^^ Apparently mid to the end of June according to some stores here in the UK :)
in Australia slated for June 7ish
what's the highest you can get a 4400+ on air with a stock heatsink?
skipped air testing and went straight to water
