but i think you should not use a fixed resistor for the vmem mod. i adjusted the VR to exactly 2kohms just like in the picture but after soldering i could only get to 2.95v. with a fixed resistor i would not be able to get lower than 2kohms and be stuck at 2.95V. now thats what i call f*cked up. so adjust your VR to 2kohms, solder it and then re-adjust.

The point to use fixed resistor in series is to avoid short in any case. If you want to test 'xtreme' voltages you can put 'too small' resistor in series say 1000 ohm and you have still full control BUT no risk to get nodes shorted.

i have a 6800gs thers a forum about it monster 6800gs on techpowerup.com any way gpu temps ar 28c idel an 38c load so far the core is maxing out at 533mh so i was wondering if a vcore mod would help or is the core maxed allready [its an older card now thot maby i should have some fun with it]

so what mod do i use i dont think the mem need more power not yeat any way just the core

does the pencel mod work/

or could i do it with a solid resister

pci-e gs right?
if so 630 on just air with volts might happen.
