Thats pretty good m8...thing is when you test it further it will prove to be faster than ddr400 using the 3:4 or 4:5 ratio.I know your looking for the 4:5 so that you can push the ram even further but sometimes running 1:1 can prove to be quicker.

Stable what?....The CPU or the memory?....The CPU is stable at that frequency....the memory...NO WAY....It's OK at 250MHz(500MHz DDR)+......

Hey - I've been lurking on this forum for a couple of months (biding my time!) but now having read this thread, I have to join in... I keep hearing these amazing things about the C1 stepping 1.8s from Dell. My girlfriend (who lives in PA, im in California) bought a Dell in August of this year at 1.8 ghz. Is there any way for her to check if its one of the Magic C1 stepping 1.8s without taking her computer apart (she'd be far too scared, and I can't get there to help her do it for a few months?

Welcome to the forums....If your girlfriend's CPU(1,8GHz) has Default VCore 1,525Volts then it's a C1 Stepping.....so go and take this thing off.....;)

She can use Wcpuid to check it out!

You can see on the CPU Type Stepping, if it says 4 then it's a B0, if it says 7, the it's a C1!

yes, my compliments as well. imagine one of these in a dual channel board (GB for example) if they could even make it that high. this is where GB will shine, with high azz FSB's.

again, my compliments. damn i just persuaded my friend a few weeks ago to upgrade his dell to a 2.0. should let him buy a 1.8, took it home to "inspect it" and, well, you know:banana:
