these are the guaranteed clocks speeds i need on my intel for my max overclock...too bad i can't afford even 1/4 of that ram..

btw...question: when companies speed bin ram...you reckon they verify operation to 275 mhz to make sure of discrepancies in motherboards, compatibility etc. to make sure it works at 250 mhz?

Considering the 2 results, it's seams crasy performances. VX do not reach those speeds with two sample what so ever.

I would almost guarantee they don't speed bin at 275MHz. I have another set that does 258-260. So people need to be realistic that while this is awesome memory, I don't think every kit is going to do 275+ Mhz. It's great that there's a decent chance for that possibility though, and very fun memory to play with.

Also, keep in mind that on Intel running tight timings on their memory controllers seems to be alot harder than on A64. So I would caution people with Intel platforms that they might not achieve optimial results on that platform. Personally, I would probably go with a Hynix or Samsung modules for Intel until someone can step up and say these work great on Intel. Unfortuneately I don't have a voltage booster, and my only intel DDR board is an Albatron 865 socket T board that maxes at 2.8 or 2.9 vdimm.

Wow, even if they all don't do that speed at those timings that's still impressive..... my OCZ PC4000 only did 280mhz at 3-4-4-8 (2.8V) on my Intel, so I'd imagine that this chips will probably at least do 2-3-3-6 at that speed on an Intel setup.

Thanks for your honesty. 260MHz is still good, it seams kinda equal to VX even if ICs are different.
Can you confirm it is UTT-BH5 (new BH5) and not UTT-CH5 (like VX)

I don't understand either. I mean if they run 250 at 3.2-3.4v at tight timings of 2-2-2-6 why would 50% get rma'd? I admit it'd suck a bit to get a kit that wouldn't do 251mhz, but even if that's the case, what grounds to consumer have to RMA them? Would be pretty shady to do so anyway. Course I don't really know much about binning process so maybe they do bin higher, but I think people need to consider their platform before purchasing. If they have an NForce2 mobo that tops out at 2.8v, there's no way in hell they will get anywhere near 250. In addition, Intel P4 platforms don't seen to do tight timings with near the ease that A64 do at 240-260MHz levels.

I'm also interested to see what chips these use, BH or CH. I think realistically an average set of Redline will be about the same as VX, 260Mhz or so. Only time will tell. The way I look at it, what is the incentive for us to buy Redline instead of VX? Will it be cheaper? Will it be better?

IMO, I don't think we have anything groundbreaking here, just some motivation for OCZ to come out with some higher speed VX. :D

I wouldn't bother with those timings, as they don't help this kind of memory clock much higher usually, 5-10mhz at best.

Well it's monday and I can't find it for sale...anyone have any luck?

For me, the best thing about these sticks is that they don't "give up" at a certain voltage. I've had UTT sticks that will peak at 3.6v or 3.7v....
These sticks keep pulling at 3.8-4.0v, as long as I keep them cool. I bench on the patio in 15C temps with an 80mm Tornado on the ram, and I've seen 290+, 2-2-2, 1T Interleave enabled.
When my SD arrives, I'm hoping the improved mem controller will give me some more headroom for the sticks...
My goal is DDR600, 2-2-2 with 1gB
