Nope, not gonna happen. I'm sure they've already found that the Venice scales to about 1.65-1.7max. Anything beyond that just causes instability.Quote:

@Toki
Now you guys are talking... :toast: Spi 16M @ 3GHz is looking much better now, and it's not phase change yet
tnx Toki :toast:Quote:

Agreed. Most of the 3500+ ive seen top off @ 2.8ghz WITH volts :stick:Quote:

Yeah, the bad clocks are making me think I should either get a 3700+ sandiego or a 3200+ venice. :stick:
Nice overclock but one thing, i did notice at 2.86Ghz you got a 31s superpi time, my winnie at 260x10 ram on a divider running at 216Mhz 3-2-2-10 i get 32s - i cant see no reason to upgrade personally :/
you got a screen on that? :eek:Quote:

As I promised, I've got the result of Venice @ Dry Ice by gandalfone :woot:
Here we go:
This is his first run @ dry ice, before this he has confidence with prommy :D
The result?? Venice CPUs are incredible!!
gandalfone has a lil problem with memory ratio, after I'll explain...
Unfortunately gandalfone haven't a digi cam so he can't do any photo of the rig :slapass: :slap: :D
Anyway, temp of the base of container is -40°, over the probe go crap :)
After a few test he already grab a good result: SuperPI 1M 26''
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...ice_spi_26.JPG
He set the mem @ 183 ratio using a64tweaker with bios 331-1 but after 2 hours of test this is the max, only this, a lil weird we think...
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...pi__26_312.JPG
And this is the 3dMark2001
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...2001_35877.JPG
The damn thing is that gandalfone try to get the suicide shot with this settings, but he still can't go over 3200MHz, so he think that this result is good anyway for him...but just when he think this, he try to set the ratio @ 166 and...oh yeah, the baby goes on :woot:
SuperPI 8M @ 3155MHz
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...spi_8_3200.JPG
Ecalc @ 3380MHz for ULJarad
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...ecalc_3380.JPG
Pifast @ 3330MHz
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...fast_36_97.JPG
SuperPI 1M @ 3363MHz :D
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm..._spimod_25.JPG
3dMark2001 @ 3305MHz
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...2001_36000.JPG
Sandra @ 3346MHz
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...andra_3350.JPG
Aquamark @ I don't know the frequency :slap: :D
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...qua_106000.JPG
Suicide shot :woot:
http://gandalfone.altervista.org/imm...enice_3500.JPG
So, this is all great result!! Yeah, we know that SuperPI could be better with Win2003 and 3dmark with Win2000 plus better cooling on GPU maybe DIce too (here only @ liquid) but gandalfone haven't enough time :)
We think that Venice CPUs are beautiful CPU, better than Winchester coz of the cold bug near-solved and better oc quality even at air at default vcore.
Yeah, only one CPU isn't enough to judge all the Venice, but we couldn't imagine a better start :slobber:
Soon gandalfone come here to say personally thanks to all :toast:
Bye.
TOKI e Gandalfone:
ITALIA RULEZZZZZZZZZZZZ :)
nice....
VERY NICE score's!;)
i am eager to know when that fx-55 of ours stops with ln² :D
Ask to put some ln2 on it :slapass: and take a look at the cold bug.
haha! great results
interesting
I M P R E S S I V E ...
We will have a Venice for some cascade benching in a few days
Thanks Jort :toast:Quote:
