so any relatively recent Geil value RAM bought will contain the utt bh5 stuff? I'm seeing it for £55 here on www.overclockers.co.uk for 1gb, which for RAM like that, will be awesome value. However i'm willing to pay more for oc'ing ability, but it'd be nice to have it this cheap. Anyone gone and bought some from there lately, and can confirm it to be bh5??

and you bought from OCUK? Can you test today, just set it to the 2-2-2-6 timings and vdimm at 2.85, shouldn't take long, but i would love to have it by the weekend, and so order it today? I would be incredibly greatful if you could.

ok. i reckon OCUK are clearing out old stock which is why they are on cheap. I'll wait a few days before i order, i guess, give them time to get a few more of the chips i need.

On my DFI NF2 system i got 220 with 3.2v 1t. (which is quite good for NF2 1t 4 banks)
Havent tested much, no burn in but looks good so far.
For £67 you cant complain :banana:
look for the metal strips on the bottom of the ram, there should be two just visible under the heatspreader. Thats how i knew mine was UTT.Quote:

Also i think you should try higher vdimm i could only get 200 2-2-2 with 3.0v
Looking good for such cheap stuff. Try some burn in on them.
What cpu you running?
I'll try some more testing/tweaking tonight, i just got the ram today.
I running an old school 32-bit athlon XP-M 2500+ can do 2.6ghz
looks good, i'm going to get some then. Probably won't arrive in time for the weekend, so i'll report back probably next weekend about how it clocks. Do they allow for a 7 day satsfaction guarantee? Dabs do, which is why i like to use them, although their stock is rather limited.
Quick update, these sticks a great :toast:
i got them 245 with 3.3v 1t DC using 20 memtest #5 passes as an indication of stability.
1 stick is really sweet, can do 250 with only 3,3v the other is slightly behind, but not by much.
The last UTT i had just wouldn't run 1t even at 200, so im very pleased :D
I took the heatspreaders off to find Geil branded IC's. They have the trademark dimples etc. My camera's battery is dead, so i'll try to get some pics up later

There has been a well known problem when running double sided ram (2banks per slot) with cpc on on NF2 from the beginning. The NF2 memory controller is very outdated now and it has trouble with 1gb and 1t. With 2t your good to go but 1t is very difficult. Bh-5 have major issues with 1t in 2x512 flavour, but this ram (UTT/CH-5) your more likely to do it and sometimes you can even get decent fsb out of them
cool well as long as i get ch-5 i should be safe. Like i say, as long as it clocks nicely on an a64 system i'm happy, since that's what i'll be getting ASAP.

well it's arrived, about to test it out, see how it goes. Going by S/N, it doesn't look promising...
if i couldn't hit 2-2-2-11 to windows, but i can get 2-3-3-11 and it's totally stable, all at 400mhz and 2.9v, would you guess it's the motherboard or the RAM that's being silly?
I haven't tried 2-2-3-11 or 2-3-2-11 yet.
It's all running at 1t, and i'm currently engaging in a bit of burn in, since it's helped me a lot with all my other kit.
