I thought the diego fx55 will come first? Maybe amd had a change of plans and decided to call it 4200+ instead and just release the fx57 early? cant wait for overclocks and 3dmark results

"There will probably be FX-55 90 nm... so no way it will be like 4200 > FX-55"
I think the 4200 will replace the fx-55 much like the 4000 replaced the FX-53. AMD will use only 'one' FX badge as their top of the line chip. Thus the FX-57 and nothing else, to keep things less confusing
the first link has NEGATIVE stock? Does that mean preorders? Damn even if one of these things came out, i gotta wit for my G5 from Cathar.
one thing I wonder, will we need a bios update to make it work with diego and venice? are new bios out yet for those cpus?
that first site.. i've seen it before, but it looks different now. and they still have the box codes wrong, it should be ADA3x00BPBOX.Quote:

FX should stay single-core as the highest performing CPU. A64's will go dual-core.

I agree, but according to all roadmaps I've seen this isn't the case. Actually, if I'm not misstaken, won't the FX-59+ series be the only dual cores on S939?Quote:

Edit: The biggest problem for me, though, is the two main characteristics of Sweden:
1) Unavailability.
2) Taxes - I only get to buy computer parts for ~42% of my earned income (rest = ~58% is lost to taxes - and yes, I am a low-income earner  )
AFAIK AMD confirmed that FX will stay single-core and dual-core will debut @ 2.4 GHz in the A64 flavour on the desktop ;)
Then what about Toledo?Quote:

According to these roadmaps too, it looks like Toledo is going to be FX. And I think I've read it somewhere else, as well. However, if you've got better knowledge, enlighten me, please.
yeah, thats very good, thx :banana:Quote:

He needs to update some of that info, he shows the 4200+ as being Venice core. 4400+ as venice too (Not sure about that). Also, all the prices are very out of date.Quote:
