Hi, i have 2 kits of the Rev 2 that run great iun dual channel. Settings on this board vary depending on your CPU type. The memory conotollers are all different. I use 2.8v on my Wincester at 300mhz and need 3.2 with a 4000+ Clwahammer (same core as FX55). Go figure. Try more voltage I guess, but you should not need more than 3.2. MAKE SURE you have the memory cooled with a FAN.Quote:

jsut conjecture, but i'll bet that the NVMM is something to do with SLi....new one is probably meant ot disable full sli capability for those who got a moddable one. I heard they will try and do somehting in nvidia drivers as well to attack the modded ones. Lame-o if you ask me.
if that's it. I dont see how tthey could tell the difference, either the board reports sli or not.
oh well, I will be running x800xt, so attack sli all you want dfi. I did nte mod anyway, just for kicks!
btw, is the 217/218 the bios of choise for Gskill TCCD onpage? I have to assume that is what you are running! I will be benching it against UTT though, so I hope it also happens to be the same bios they both run best on.

I have issues with Crucial Ballistix PC3200 RAM on the 218 BIOS. The built-in MemTest reports memory errors at stock CPU and RAM speeds all the way from it's rated 2-2-2-6 speeds to 2.5-4-4-7 at 3.0v. The same memory on an Asus A8N-SLI board works fine.
I'm having issues with my 1/25 2/17 and 2/18 neither of them seem to help my problem.. I randomly freeze inwindows at optimized defaults, and just BSOD when I try to oc my ram or up my vdimm voltage on either vdimm jumper, with two different power supplies..
So Im all out of ideas what to do, dont know whether I should RMA or try and wait for a fix?

The weird part is I memtest upto 265 with no problems on my vx, except it doesnt scare worth a damn
I can actually get 265 at 3.3v but at 3.5 it givves me 4 errors per pass

thats so weird all the people with OCZ 3200 el plats and having problem with them.
Btw. i have bios 2/17 and two sticks and right now everything runs like a charm 9x289 1T 2.5.4.3.7 1:1 prime stable.
I really think if you plug two of these sticks in (dimm 2 and dimm 4) and ASSUMING you have 2/17 bios already flashed and 2.8 or 2,9 VDIMM and have a PROBLEM....then either your board is hosed or your memory ! Or you have an especially crappy PSU !
How else can you explain people (incl me) dont have those problems ?
Not true! I have OCZ 3200 el plats rev2 and everythings working great! With a little more burning in, I should acheive 2,5-3-3-7 @2.6V @ 300htt 1:1 (I say I should because right now it's memtest #5 stable up to 305 but not in windows)Quote:

Were you using the same CPU also? Remember that the memory controller is on the CPU. Some winnies have marginal memry controllers, although they normally run memest fine.Quote:

u guys think the beta bios might improve this? (i consider a beta bios as last resort normally)
or do i have more chance to get it stable by messing a lil with strange bios settings? (which ones? ;))
