when is this board coming out.. its killing me waiting!!!
with the asus ct479, the boards wont be so expensive, and the chips have just had (or will have) a price cut (soon), so the price will come down a LOT in the coming month and a half :)Quote:

That isin't an option, because the asus adapter won't let you set the vcore and will be hell to install another heatsink onto (other than the factory provided one with the adapter).Quote:

looks like there is still no manual control for the vcore on the adapter :(
Did you really read both articels on LegitReview..????Quote:

But I still think that the little board has killer multimedia abilities.
Indeed! I'm looking forward to it :D
Perhaps http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=22222 could explain why this board is taking a little longer to reach availability?
ah ha that would explain why i guess :)
I got mine today. I can't test it, since my processor hasn't arrived yet. The DFP Port is missing. I hope I get my CPU (1,86 GHz Pentium M) on Monday. I'll do some tests then using DDR1 and DDR2...
Nice one :cool:Quote:

YAY!! Finally someone on XS has one! Where'd you get it?? Looking forward to your tests :slobber: .Quote:

Is async memory that is higher than the FSB really beneficial? I know the nForce2 had that and it didnt seem to help much.
where'd you get it???
When I look at the mobo I see 2 remarkable diffrences with the the images that sxs112 has posted.Quote:

A glimpse of bios-setting in the manual
-I couldn't find any divider options :(, only "System Memory Frequency": DDR 333Mhz/DDRII 400Mhz/DDRII 533Mhz. Is that the new divider option? Sounds like Chinese to me (Although I am Chinese :D)
-Couldn't find the lock setting either (PCI/PCI-e whatsoever) :stick:. Does it lock automaticly? Or there is no need for a lock (I'm new to PCI-E :))
+I see a cool feature. You can adjust the NB voltage :). I hope that works.
-But still no Vdimm adjustement
I can't fire it up, cos I sold my i855 setup and my friend still hasn't returned my 2 banana CPU's (banias )
I hope I won't regret this purchase, and live up my expectations (I was very happy with my previous setup :))
Stuff I have to buy :D:
-new dothan CPU :P (400/533, still don't know)
-some DDRII with Micron chips :) (does any one know which sticks has thos "Micron D9" IC's ?)
-pci-E vga card :D (my first one, any suggestions?)
hhmm, no vdimm options again? Maybe there's a new bios out, have you checked if there's a new one out? I've been waiting for this board for a while too now, hopefully it won't be dissappointing.
BTW, where'd you get your board from vegeta?
I got mine from www.wave-computer.de, but they only sell to reseller. You can order it here: http://www3.alternate.de/html/shop/s...=147&cat3=000&
Layout seems to be nearly the same. The southbridge has also a passive heatsink. Only the DFP-Connector under the YUV-Output is missing, but I think it's only interessting for people in Japan, because it's not compatible to HDMI.
Perhaps I steal a processor from my notebook and do some tests this weekend!
please do!
aopen 915 did't have a fix pci-e.
i can't boot whit more fsb as 163.
aopen 915 = nothing for oc!!!
:mad:Quote:

actually, my Abit AS8 here is completly useless if I try to run the 4:5 ram ratio. does absolutly nothing... even gets lower overall bandwidth, in memtest 86, and does nothing when testing sisoft sandra, or 3dmark2001se lobby tests...Quote:

ah I knew you had the new Aopen :D You have to response faster on madshrimps :stick: :pQuote:

get a 533 fsb dothan, they have a newer stepping and they oc better both MHz and fsb wise (X68-secret compared a 400fsb dothan to a 533fsb dothan)
I know Corsair CM2X512A-5400UL have those Micron D9 chips : http://www.legitreviews.com/article.php?aid=187&pid=2
and I might offcourse be wrong but I'm guessing that the OCZ ddr2 EB's also use these same chips...
now tell me, where did you get that board? :D
