AHHH I was actually about to buy that tonight, and what do you know it sells out. Why was the chaintech so much cheaper than other nforce4 ultra boards with almost the same features?
Really? I don't think its that bad except for the floppy location. The IDE's are at the mid section towards the edge, and the atx connections are located far away from the cpu socket. This way, you won't have to deal with your atx power cable restricting your cpu fan airflow.Quote:

Yeah, the looks like its alright. Chaintech ain't a bad brand but just not known as great overclocking board, most of the time. Looks like a nice layout everything looks good on the board.

call me crazy but is it possible to take a razor and cut the end of a pci-e x1 slot so that it looks like the special one that MSI has? i doubt you would wreck the slot just by cutting off some plastic.
somebody should try this and see if it works and runs SLI.
I got mine in today. I am going to pop the heatsink off the chipset as soon as I get home so I can see if it's A3 NF4 Ultra. It looks like john beat me to it. Lets post our results in here. IT is indeed the GOOD A3 chipset rev.

There's a cap and other elements right where the rest of the card's PCI-E would be. It would work if there was empty space there.
Come on hurry up :D, I can't wait to see how far you guys can push your CPU's with the Chaintech board.

Ya if you could list voltage and overclocking adjustments you can do that would be awsome, and max overclock :P. This board is considerably lower in price than other nforce4 ultra's, and if it overclocks great, I'm buyin it.

Whats the deal with these new 24 pin power connectors, do you need a convertor to use a 20 pin connector??

hehe, I just posted that in his other thread. I don't know if you are in the same situation as me. I'm sitting here looking at the thing wondering wtf to do.
I'm gonna be upgrading in January, didnt want a nasty surprise like that waiting for me and not knowing what to do. Hope u get it sorted soon so we can have more feedback on the new boards.
