I think the newcastles overclock like Average winchesters. It's just that they are less likely to fail during -0 temps and they don't fail prime 95 at stock speeds.

I would say get a newcastle 3500+ if you are going phase change soon.
1. It is less likely to have -0 issues.

I've given some serious thought into my abrupt decisions to purchase another processor. I'm not going to go through with it right now. I'll just hold off until late-January/early-February when I get my box from chilly1. FX-55 is the only way for me to go, especially after seeing Onepagebook's project. This was my original plan and I'd be much better off sticking to it.

I'm waiting for ati's sli chipset the bullhead which according to every online preview, the non-production board was OCing higher than nforce 4 :D so your going to have a lot of things to think about conrad!

hell by then the fx's will be all 90nm, an article at the register came out today saying opterons have just switched to 90nm so that means the athlon fx's wont be too far away!

iv taken order of a 3500NC should be here tomorrow to replace this NC :)

i cudnt stand the 3200 winny not liking my 1:1 clocks and prime failure so got rid

the record is 310mhz 2-2-2-5 on an 875 ic7-g. it took 4.1v if i recall.

i cant for the life of me recall WHO though. one of the XS regulars.

It was Randi using a half multi .- At the time we didnt knew better and found it very stunning - He was using OCz memory.
