Just add my old Gainward 6800GT card ( 2400! Ultra Golden Sample):
Default volts, cooling at 50%.
For 24/7, 430/1180 was the max without any crashes during any prolonged testing or gaming. For benchmarking the max was 440/1202. It would easily have gone higher, as i could reach 450/1000 or 350/1220 benchable. Seems to me it was either throtling or not getting enough juice :(
only if you care about warranty/service quality ,colored pcb, fancy coolers, games and apps then get the cheapest card...Quote:

so yeah, no big difference at all...
How do you overclock a GPU? I have no clue...
Powerstrip, google for it
My card is a crappy one, does 385/1.12 @stock cooling and Voltage.
It's a eVGA 6800GT.
hmm try NV silencer5 and bios up to 1,4v and u can see about 440/1,15-2Quote:

Thanks for the advice sponge bob, but I'm currently running 1.5v in bios and I think that the NV Silencer5 would not fit in my set up (DFI Lanparty UT NF3) because I'm using a Vantec Iceberq cooler for the NB. The Stock cooler from my eVGA y very very close to the Vantec.Quote:

I can get around 420core :banana4: 1180mem on my first card, but when I added the second it seems they like around 400core 1070mem together...
I tested the second one by itself and it got about 415core 1150mem
What is the "power mod" mentioned above?
While it's not really a 6800gt, with my 6800 softmodded to 16/6 i can reach 440. Nets me just over 12,000 3dmarks, with a 1.5v BIOS. Still got nice low temps though, just shy of 70c.
What PSU are you using?Quote:

I have been considering that it is a possibility that it is power related not necessarily due to amperage or wattage deficiency, but because the PCI-E adapter for one card has dedicated lines, but when I need 4 molex's total for two cards I have to tart sharing with like a HD and DVD drive on the same lines as two of the other molexes (they are both on one card, so maybe I should move the HD molex to share with primary card and it will balance out the power a little more?)
Hm, interesting. My GT does 1200 instead of 1100 on the memory now. It's a Socket A mobo now and the PSU is 520W OCZ instead of a 550W Antec as seen in my sig.
