put windows install cd and start it up...
start a normal installation but when you see "Press F6 to install RAID" or sth like that, don't do that. press F5, as this will take you to HAL menu... you will see all the options as ACPI Uniprocessor, ACPI Multiprocessor, Standard PC, ACPI PC....
pick "ACPI Multiprocessor" and you're good to go...
i'll try all this when i finally get a copy of win2k(should be sometime soon... >_>) i have only winXP right now. ;)
though, i'd be a donkey's hoof if this motherboard supported RAID... so i wouldnt ever see that message, would i? (no raid controller either)
Yup, even if you don't have RAID you should at least see the message for a couple seconds :)
i don't think it matters as F6 option is not only for installing RAID drivers but SCSI too... and mobo doesn't need to have RAID onboard... it could be on the add-on PCI card...
so this option is always gonna appear...
but remember, F5.....
also i think your hardware supports it as it seems that mainboard and BIOS as "ACPI capable"...

in acpi monoprocessor PC with my 3.6E (water cooled) is rock stable at 4175MHz and 1.40v
in acpi multiprocessor I cant do a screenshot at 4175MHz...

well, seing as it gives a performance gain there has to be something its doing. The temp of my A64 was reading 45-48c load before, and now it reads 71-72c load, but its definately within 5c of the original temp... so there is something odd its doing for sure.
i think there should be a no OCing OCing contest, where u cant change cpu or gpu clock speeds, just have to tweak a lot
My max benching speed has decreased, too. 2767 used to be no problem for benching on my XP-M, but I think I may have to take it down to 2700 to maintain stability in benches. For my purposes it's still worth the decreased clock.
