I'm just eager to get my hands on an XP2600+ as soon as they are available here in Belgium
I'm guestimating one month or so
Entuscan,
Hell of job there :toast:
Like DDTUNG said that overclock is incredible for AMD.
Now start doing some real 3D runs, I saw that score:D
Great job my friend;)
OPP
Very nice man . It looks like some of these chips overclock pretty well with the right cooling. I bet by Christmas we will start seeing stable 3g overclocks and then Barton which I'm holding out for will fly by then hopefully.
Excellent job, Congrats :toast:
Very well done. :toast:
I'm still stuck at 1900MHz with mine.... :(. What cooling did you say you were using on there? Sorry if you already mentionned it, I must have missed it.
Cooling is done by Prommy unit,Quote:

currently one of the best (retail) available cooling systems
Gr8 clocks there :D
I wanted to ask how well the prometeia copes temp wise with the small dye size on the 2400+??
:slobber: :slobber: :slobber: cant wait to get one of them... what can you say in the result is the best stepping at the moment ?
great job, Entuscan!
damn lucky guy you are! :D
so I guess, Belgium has it's new O/C King here!

Never tried P4 (won't try soon  )
Seeing these screenshots makes me wonder why the hell I'm still wandering around with this Tualeron... :) OC's Great, but nowhere near the 2GHz mark.
Well done, Entuscan!
Gr, SuSEQ
can you tell me why in the 3dmark results it says agp rate n/a? this was spooking me, and i was thinking i wasn't using agp 4x. also in sandra tests it says that fast writes in disabled but it's on in the bios.
You might want to post this in one of the other forums more geared toward your question with some more system info. Just tryin to help you get some more responses. Welcome by the way.
Tiribulus:toast:
i was just asking here cause i seen in the results he posted it said the same thing. this is my first time to this forum, and that was my first post :). i thought maybe he might know why it was like that.
#ball3r,
Welcome to Xtreme :)
I've noticed the ORB doing alot of weird things lately...not showing FSB, all sorts of weird stuff. I'd guess they're working on something, and that its not on ur end ;)
thank you for the nice welcome :). i myself have a 1600+ agioa "9"@1837 air cooled, but am gonna order a 2600+ 333fsb chip. right now i get 9900 3dmark w/ge4 4400
9900 points???
you must make something wrong!!
i got 13080 points with 1,7 ghz and gf4 ti 4400

Entuscan:
Have you tried to unlock the FSB on the chip? I know this is a new stepping but is the unlocking trick still working? Your chip can definitely benefit from a wide open, synchronous FSB. I run my XP1700+ at 200FSB synchronous with RAM at PC3200. It hoots along but your processor is more than 1Ghz faster than my chip o/c to 1.7 GHz! BTW, I use Samsung PC2700 RAM that overclocks to CAS 2 400 MHz DDR at 2.9volts. I'm also using an 8K3A with AGP running at 4x80MHz using it's 1/5 divider.
Impressive results, good job!:)
damn baller02 that is a good score. could it be that it shows your using agp4x and it says n/a for me? or the only other differences are your using win98(me winxp) and your using 40.52 drivers(i'm using 30.82. could you pm me and help me out with my setup?
Yah, 9900 is a tiny bit low, not much. I'm running XP 1.7 GHz/400 MHz synchronous FSB/PC3200 CAS 2/Ti4200 300/600 /XP w/40.72 drivers = 12,017 3DMarks
#ball3r:
If your not using the 40.xx drivers, you are missing out on the artifical ~800 point boost. nVidia tweaked the anisotropic filtering in the Nature test to give a free boost to the >=GF3 series cards. The 41.03 drivers were pretty buggy and caused quite a few crash to desktops for me.
i tried using the 40.71 drivers but couldn't boot(kept getting blue sceens of death) with my current setup. i'm pretty new to this so i'm not sure what to do. now i'm running on a locked cpu@10.5X175 with ram settings....
normal 2,4,2,6,2t,4,2,1t,3,3
actually it was the 40.41 drivers i tried and no worky
yah they 40.41s were pretty bad on all nVidia cards. The 40.72s have been wonderful with no bugs. The 41.03s are really wacked out and no performance gain.
The new drivers require uninstalling the old drivers *completely* then installing the new ones. Try Detonator Destroyer at guru3d.com. Can also get drivers there.
