Great numbers, but not UNEXPECTED. Remember a few months back, the first week the fx-53 939 was released, I grabbed one and with the pathetic A8V v1 managed 3441mHz on DRY ICE........
Now with the advent of more mature stepping and yields.....it kinda figures... in fact I think the NEXT milestone is a 4g screenie from the new fx-55.

whatever happened to that chip? did you ever test it with anything more then DI? it might have 3.5ghz in it with a really cold cascade or ln2. unless its dead. then it doesnt have 3.5ghz in it.

I sold it to a member here.... don't know if he'd want me to say who. I think he runs it 24/7 @ 3gHz....
But since then, I've made 2 LN2 experiments, and have new cooling tubes/gear. I'm waiting for a k8n/fx55/x800xt rig....to slide under the "cold stuff"

the new setup uses a plastic tray with 2 gallons of dielectric coolant oil so I don't have to worry about condensation (no pic's yet). The board is covered in 3" of oil. If I find a D0 2.8A this week, I'll try out the whole new deal :D

I want to see some benches guys!! Come on. With that 5.6ghz prescott they might steal the show with hexus pifast. This thing will kick their arses.

Do you guys have a phase change x800 for the 3dmark benches??

I just told mike over and the INQ about your cpu. Hopefully he will put it on the site. He usually makes articles of most of the stuff I send him.

As for the cpu, i work in the store where it was sold. They came 2 from our source, one is mine and the other is this one.

Both are great.
Mine does 2.7GHz with stock cooling 100% stable at 1.7v.
Last night, i went to "setubal workshop" :D and we calibrated my Prometeia, and now i use mine at 3GHz 1.7v 24/7, and 3.1GHz at 1.8v.

Going to try a bunch of new motherboards, including the gigabyte to see wich one is the best, for now, since new chipsets are coming.

But these FX-53 will do great on the gigabyte that is coming! :)
Expect some new records! ;)

i have 29s @ 2716Mhz 271,6X10 ; my FX53 0409 is not very good :( i can hardly bench 3dm2k1 at 2880 mhz -21° idle at 1,84v :mad:
