NF7/S Rev2.0 : D25 Modded bios by -=Merlin=-

Merlin or TicTac, is there a chance you could look at this bios for options that are hidden? It is for a Shuttle AN35N and the board is very hard to make post past 2500mhz, increase fsb, etc.... :(

The board has up to 2.1v available (2.0 in bios, 2.1 real) but if you move the multiplier or FSB up too far at a time (more than 5mhz) the board will post at its default settings of 600mhz (2500+ Mobile, the bios even recognizes it).

I also have the board defaulted to 1.775v by default by soldering the pins on the back of the board.. gives 1.81 real.

3D Fire 24 2-2-2-11. Anything aboth
230 gives me an Blackscreen, doesnt
matter which Timings i use.

With the latest CPC Off Bios from
this Thread i can boot with 245 MHz,
but no way to go into Win. Timings
are 2-2-2-11 @ 2,9 V.

What do u think , what brings me
higher(stable)? More Vdimm ore
more Vdd?

Do u think 3,3 V can take me to 240+
with CPC on Bios and 2-2-2-11 ?

Now i use the D25 rev.2.0.3 06.08.2004 Cpc On 3.19 Bpl by -=Merlin=-, and
i'm on 246 2-2-2-11 @ 2,96 V :D

Not very stable, but i can bench SuperPi 1M and Sandra MemBench.
I need more Vdimm!

Just to let you know, The D25 rev.2.0.1C 03.08.2004 Cpc Off 3.19 pl by -=Merlin=- BIOS borked my LAN-controller so i had to re-flash to my old bios again.

This is the only one of theese Bioses i have tried so i don´t know if this applies to the other´s aswell..

I thought the same thing until I discovred that this BIOS have LAN controller disabled by default in the BIOS, Just Enable it.

Yeah that´s a reasonable thought, i did that however among the first things (unless i brainfarted and somehow managed to screw that up, doubt it though;)) . So you got yours working then?

OH well I´ll try another revision later and see how it works, need to have that lan working to get out on the net.

With the D25 rev. 2.0.0 CPC on I was able to get a 246MHz FSB screenshot with my bro's PC4000. :D It definitely wasn't stable, but I ran the Sandra bench and listened to music for a few minutes before it froze.

I'm going to try the 2.03, 2.04, and 2.05 CPC on bioses and see if I can get 250. I need some more VDIMM for my PC3500EB now.

Nice bios. I flashed it to my server's NF7-S. Does it need an L12 mod still for a mobile?

Trying the first bios i found on this topic on my nf7s v2.0
Mushkin LII 3500 (BH-5) 2x256 at 10x250, Vdimm at 3.3v so far prime run stable :).

Will keep updating.

at 250fsb after 10 mins prime comes up with an error :(

Anyone else recomment another bios apart from those above?

sorry if I'm off topic, but will I most likely be able to do ~250fsb if I bought a new NF7-S?

vdd/vtt/vdimm w/e not counting those which can be modded, or ram, but are chances my board would do it? with these great bios's

some of you say you couldnt hit 200fsb before, others doing 260-270fsb

is it a matter of luck, or you all just have different cooling / mods?
