Using the 7/9/2004 bios my vcore has never dropped to 1.35v anymore. If you set your vcore to like 1.6 or 1.7v it remains constant. Atleast for me. I have a C0 Clawhammer Core btw.

I'm pretty sure the vcore the board shows on the bottom window on post is the actual vcore being used.. I know this cause if it does its thing and under volts to 1.34v which is rare on post i cant get into the bios.. i get a black screen after the post screen.
I'm using a Antec 550WATT True Control P/S with all the pots maxed and its never givin me a prob whats so ever on many other MB's.
What settings are you using in the bios like mult,FSB,mem timings and HTT x?Quote:

Are you booting up at defualt setings and only using clockgen for overclocking then after?
All Default, except mem timings are 200, 2, 2,5,2 and htt at 3x.Quote:

Well who knows.. I've done way too much testing today. heh Never slept since last night cause the damn fedex guy was bringing my Mushkin 3500 Level II 2x512MB sticks home at 11 AM.. I didnt want to miss him and be out them all weekend so... heheh.
After all that wait for these so i could finally test this board with the 200FSB ram and 1/1 FINALLY! It sucked! One stick says yeah i'll do 240FSB and the other is like all scared of such a feet.. I figured as much cause thats how they always been in other setups but there was a glimmer of hope since i've always seemed to get bummer chipsets that wont give me no FSB love.
I might be happing probs cause the 8 mult i have in the bios.. Though with that mult i'm able to use the 7 mult in Clockgen. Strange thing i noticed today a few ago was that if i used the 11 mult for my CPU in the bios or just dissabled the mult change all together i cant have no fun in clockgen.
I can change the mult down to 8 with no prob its just when i go to change the HTT the system will lock right away.. That plus i cant get mult 7 to work without instant lock.
Friggy buggy stuff if ya ask me.. Who knows if its the manufacturer or just the chipset.
I'm using the newest 7-9 bios.
Oh i even tried using defualt setting in the bios so i could get the 2xHTT thingy working.. Reason why was that it seemed that 250FSB either 8 or 7 mult was not happening.. With the 7 mult i was up to 320+ HTT and i was thinking that maybe i'm maxing out the HTT since it was pretty close to 2000.. So with the 2x HTT i tried changing the settings in CG and that was a no go.. instant lockups.
hey guys got a question....
u know bout the agp voltage in the bios of the epox board
but what does it exactly or can i get any improvments if i set it higher (only 1.6)
because my radeon card is making me problems....
seEn andL
AGP voltage usually helps the card run a lill higher AGP speed if you are going for that. Sometimes just increses overall stability. I really dont know how safe it is though.
hmm
i m going to buy a wc system so i wanna clock my radeon lill bit but i wouldnt mod the card because i cant handle this easy so i would search 4 an other methode
"r" there any tools or something else to increase vgpu core ? or memory dimm unless to vmod the card?
if not i have to mo the card...
but then i would look for more infos

This board is kicking A**(8kda3j) with the shipping bios(5/05/2004): This is the stable max htt without screwing with any board voltages yet:

3v on mem with 1 gig lv2 3500 running @htt4x, 2530mhz (230x11),and 5-2-2-2 cmd1 w/s-ata raid. This is stable as ever for 3-4hrs straight utk4. This is just what I needed for gaming. I'm happy :)
what is the revision of the chipset?Quote:

A1 or A2?
Theres a new revision to the NF3 250GB chipset already?
Wow... I guess there is. ;) I was just getting my + ready for 24/7 use and had the chipset heatsink off. I have the A2 version on my +.
Nice Jeff, is your board the revision 2.0 ? I heard that there will be some of those floating around soon?
Kingpin answer quick please :)
You you A1 / A2 KDA3J? A2 J would rock !
Nope... revision 1.0 and it was bought about a month ago.Quote:

:off: a bit...
The chipset heatsink is only attached with thermal tape. It does NOT transfer heat very well at all. Before changing to thermal paste my heatsink didn't get very warm BUT the back of the motherboard behind it did. Now with thermal paste and a fan blowing across the sink... nothing is more than slightly warm. Without the fan the heatsink would get very warm.
Yes, i've got the J version and its a A2 revision 250Gb :)Quote:

Hope it will do just as good as jeffs board..
Hmm, I've got a A1 revision. According to cpu-z anyway...
Maybe that's the reason my board doesn't perform very well :(
hahah nice now i'm gona have to check this out.. I'm sure with my luck its an old A1 as well.
Well theres always RMA time! :)
its not yet comfirmd that A1 is crap.Quote:

If Kingpin has a A2, then it might be confirmed that A1 250Gb is crappy and A2 is sweeet !
CPU-Z says my A2 stepping is A1... :shrug:Quote:

Did a visual confirmation. My supposed A1 chip has A2 printed on the it.
Gonna try another proc tomorrow, let's hope it's the mem controller instead of the board
Mine says the same but it does 280 without any problems.Quote:

While Im on has anyone had any problems with this board and a tagan 480W psu ? Mine just wont switch on when using this PSU but its fine with a crappy 350W one :(
Here is what cpuz says.....I guess only way of knowing is to take off chipset hs?
