I Ordered an ATI X800 Pro w/VIVO from this Website, and they sent me a NON-VIVO Card with NO Video in Video out Connector or Theater Chip on the PCB and Also 2.0 Memory Chips instead of the 1.6 Chips!:slapass:

A READER TELLS US that it's virtually impossible to get any 6800 Nvidia Ultra in USA e-tailer or retailer shops. He checked at COMP USA, Best Buy and many others and none of them had these cards in stock.
Nvidia claims availability from Alienware, Falcon North West but he says that many USA consumers prefer just the card not the complete system.
The expected arrival for ATI high end Radeon X800XT is the first of August, just in time for Doom 3 and Half Life 2 but Nvidia items are simply out of stock.
This is the original letter that he sent to Nvidia and he hasn't got an answer yet. µ

For the life of me, I can't understand the situation with your marketing schemes. Everywhere I look, the 6800 Nvidia Ultra (which I would like to purchase) is out of stock. This card was released more than a month ago and only a few trickled to retailers such as COMP USA, Best Buy, etc. The general American public does not buy Alienware, Falcon North West, etc; They buy from retailers/e-tailers such as COMP USA and the lot of the other tech stores. Considering Nvidia's current reputation as being less on par in comparison to ATI for the last 2 years in the high-end video card sector, wouldn't it be prudent not to further piss potential consumers off with a delayed/back ordered product which has the potential to redeem your performance standing? You could at least post an apology on your Website and a promise that volumes will pick up in time for the release of titles such as Doom3 and Half Life2.
If you go to most online retailers and offline retailers (COMP USA , etc), you'll see that the ETD date for ATI X9800XT is Aug1st (in time for Doom3) whereas your product is still "out of stock". What do you think people will do? They will by ATI and spread there displeasure concerning Nvidia. Before releasing/announcing a product, you should always be ready to deliver. I've always been an Nvidia customer, but with this current blindness to the consumers' needs, I will most likely be forced to buy ATI simply because I cannot find your product to purchase. You should at least talk to "us" on your website concerning availability of this product. It's just the right thing to do.

Sorry guys about the lack of updates ... working on a refresh now...
There is a glaring omission here. It is a known fact that expected ship dates for ATI products are moved up almost dailiy so their AUgust 1st date has no credibility. I gave up on an XTPE order after watching the so called shipping dates slip weekly.
I have personal experience on this issue thats why i am running a 6800GT right now.
By the way most if not all of the GT's will run at Ultra speeds. Mine does and I am glad i gave up on the ATI. I have run ATI for the last 2 years and I must say that the Nvidia Beta Driver is more stable on my rig than the so called highly refined ATI driver. I look foward to the addtional performance gained as Nvidia perfects its driver for this device.
I will be moving to an Ultra for the dual DVI sinceEVGA makes it easy to do so with thier step up program.

I agree, it looks like at the moment, the best options are a 6800GT overclocked to Ultra speeds, or a x800 VIVO flashed and overclocked to XT pipes and speeds.
I just ordered a sapphire X800 XT from Livewarehouse.com. I don't see a link in this tread to them...but i know i found the site while browsing this thread somehow. Delivery is scheduled to be the 22nd. I e-mailed them about the BBATI XT's they had on their site and they were sold out at the time BUT he sent me a link to the limited number of Sapphire XT's they just got in that day (was the 16th) so i jumped on it. I'm pretty sure he's already sold out because i can't navigate to the link normaly on his sight, i have to go through the one he sent in my email...the one i posted. We'll see what I actually get, but they seemed to have a decent reseller ratings status.
Yeah, I can't find a single X800XT in stock anywhere :/

Just curious, is Minnyboy the only one that's gotten a vivo with 2.0 ns ram on it so far? Mine arrives on Tuesday, and I am notoriously unlucky, so i just want to know if his was an isolated incident, or if they are planning on fitting them with slower ram now.
As of right now we only have an isolated incident, until we see another card from someone else built the same way, thats all it is...

I've been Trying for Months to get Either a X800XT or 6800U, and they(the Manufacturers) and the Shops keep "Dangling the Carrot" In front of Us, and Driving Prices into the Ozone Layer!:shakes:
Can you get x800 xt in UK yet? All the sites I have seen have pre-order.
The X800 XT's have been bouncing around the UK for a few days.

You won't get cheaper than PCW for 6800's. They are the only retailers that seem to be keeping honest about the 'real' price of cards. Hence PNY and BFG 6800GT's at £270 inc. Vat, all in stock. etc etc etc.
My vivo just got here from allstarshop.com, it modded just fine, though it took forever to get here.
