BTW, just for fun I ran a few 3DMk with the FX @ 3.2gHz and got like 7900pts, lol nearly the same as with the XP-M... BOTTLENECK!
PLUS! In overclocking remember it's ALL about the LOVE. When everyone was questioning her ability to lock her agp/pci and her ability to be Vmodded and supply good voltage, I reassured her that she could be a great motherboard, gave her support and reassurance. Now my PSU, I was pretty much taking him for granted, expecting power every time I flipped the switch... he'd been a warrior every war we'd been engaged in from T-bred 2200 to P4/2.66/533 to FX-51 to Prescott to XP-M to FX-53....
So today he gets Viking funeral on the barbeque :D

I'll probably TRY it..... but I'm NOT going to pay $255 for the GB, lol. Mostly, I just want a mobo that will mod-able to get 3.2v+ Vddr.........
This will be the secret to these 939's running high HTT.
If you see FX-53 running 12 x 270 = 3240, 1:1 2-2-2-5-7-16.......it will SLAY all.

These 939's really are cherry CPU's....the ability to run fast HTT at FULL 1000mHz HyperTansport......high 1:1 OC's and TALL total gHz OC's!!!
Cant wait to see him get an FX to see if his cascade will allow him to hit 3400-3500..........

Charlie Is that a Retial box chip or OEM?? If OEM those are some killer clocks for a CPU with 30 day warrenty :)

BUT Intel is going to turn this thing into a technology race. They're gonna' say, we've got a new LGA process, we've got DDR2, we've got PCI Express, we've got Super duper Marvell LAN and this and that and the OTHER thing...... 8.1 sound, blah blah, blah.......
They're going to try to make AMD look "low tech"........

I doubt they will pull this off, though...
But I would actually buy Intel stock right now....
....because they're doing everything RIGHT for the company and the shareholders. 99% of the public believes a Pentium 4 at 3.4ghz with HyperThreadingis BETTER than an Athlon FX-53 with HyperTransport at 2.4gHz.
FACT.
Now they're making processors with no pins, getting all their chips on the same .90nM die.......Intel is doing well.

I agree, I was very loyal to Intel, but the fx53 is simply to tempting for me after my 3.2c died.

AMD will always be the underdog but lets not forget its a favo. @ us overclockers/exstreem ppl..:banana:

but yeah intel is doing great in the avrage consumers eye by releasing all that new crap the yust look highteck but we all know better ;)

I always was a intel fan but know I'm considering in near future a FX55 or FX57...
