unless you have a 1000x zoom microscope and can take apart then put the GPU back together again.. theres no way in hell.
Acually, there is.. but it would require unsoldering the GPU and tracing the bga pads and traces probably.
No... there is actually a lazer cut on mine... the dots are there, but the laser cut is seperating the two that need connecting??
you can try, a few were successful.
tc - flash using a pci video card and it should do ok. You can also turn on your computer and wait several minutes, the display should kick on after a while... at least mine did when I tried to flash my 9700np to a 9800xt.. heh.
Yeahh, it works great!!!
I have the VIVO (xt core, 1.6ns ram).
After flash, atitool shows 16 pipes  .
Pics later...
Hoschi
Hoschi u only flashed??? or you had the dots connected before??
Plz post!!
Just for the record... well me :D
How do I tell if mine's a VIVO card or not?? I got a funny looking 3 coloured cable in the box... sorta one black end that splits off into 3 coloured cables... but I couldn't see a VIVO chip on it... but i didnt really look
look at your memory on the card if it ends with 16 or 20 if it ends with 16 you probably have a vivo card cos I dont think they have released 1.6ns mem on the regular none vivo cards
My memory has some loads of numbers and letters and ends with:
416
yeaa you probobly have a vivo card just flash it with the bios from the site linked a couple of posts up. I think it is R80X256V bios you should use. cos thats the x800xt vivo bios. I wish I was home so I could try this
Well It's the same as with the ATI X800XT BIOS.... just a version from Gigabyte.... still 12 pipes for me...Quote:

You just need to use a different bios than the Sapphire X800 XT bios! This ain't the real deal, in fact there are some bytes missing!
nooooo :_(
What??? Hosci said he got 16 pipes enable after he flashed his card DAMN
tc_overclocker ---> you are next (to make us all happy)
TodB--> do you have the Sapphire Vivo with the allready connected bridges and no lasercut and 1,6ns mem?
Yes sir...... I got that very same version (said some 10-20 posts above)... I got a 100% looking X800XT card that won't run like a X800XT....Quote:
