Here's mine:)
Nice new colors on the box, alittle change of pace:D
Looks like the vmem and vcore mods are the same as the SK8V.

I'm sitting here waiting for UPS to deliver my A8V. Man they're late today! Fedex dropped off my socket 939 FX53. Unforunately the X800 XT's Newegg had on their website yesterday are really X800 Pro's. I clued them in that I was just the first of the unhappy callers they're going to get about the screw-up. At least they gave me no grief about covering my return shipping.
Dammit you guys are killing me!!!..........I need some benchies quick!
I missed out on Newegg's Retail FX-53's.... I'm giving it another 24 hours and if they're still out of stock, I'll order an OEM CPU.

Damn you rich people. I can't believe that a 700$+ cpu sold out. Wow... just Wow. I guess it's good news for AMD at least.
Charlie, I've never seen the retail in stock at newegg only the OEM's. I looked pretty much from day one and the retail version was listed, but always out of stockQuote:

take another look they are in stock and are a few $'s more :D
The v-core is a different mod. We'll have to replace a resister and start from 0ohms and work our way up.

I have no CPU yet:D
Heres my mem. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...192#post466192

Not the most exciting development, but looks doable. Too bad they didn't have the same mods.Quote:

My FX53/A8V is up and running (just air cooling). I'm currently running memtest to see how far I can push my memory (XMS3500C2) with Trcd=2. One disappointing thing is that I see nothing in the bios pertaining to pci/agp lock. Guess the rumors of it not working are currently true.
That's disappointing. I looked at the review at amdzone and they showed a working lock in the bios. I quess I'll find out soon enoughQuote:

I just rechecked that review and you're right. Unfortunately agp/pci lock is missing in the current 1003 bios.Quote:

On the other hand, Trcd=2 is working great, unlike my FX53/SK8V/TWINX1024RE-3500 system.
dam that blows, hopefully there get a fix on it quick...
Have you tried upping the HT to see if the agp/pci stays locked
That's a good idea. I'm currently testing at a fsb of 218mhz, but I've currently got HT set at 800mhz rather than 1ghz. I'll push my memory frequency at far as it'll go and then start over with HT set at 1ghz. Since there's no easy way to determine the HT/agp/pci frequency I'll just push the fsb up until something craps out.Quote:

Sounds great, looking forward to seeing what you get.
It looks like 218mhz is the best this ram will do at Trcd=2 and 2.8V. It does quite a bit better at 3V. I've changed Trcd to 3 and continuing to move fsb up.
Is the mem volt mod the same as the SK8V ?
Maybe you can use a divider and see how high the fsb will go.
yeah, use a divider
changeing over from a NF7-S the AGP slot is one place lower in the case moving the VC closer to the bottom of the case. The little chipset HS gets hotter then heck. The AI OC`ing seems to work good, but it needs more options.
Who`s gunna find out what the max voltage is on the chips?? The board seems to overvolt a bit acording to CPU-Z, guys might wanna check that.
I have a a3500 doing 220x11 @ 1.68v-1.71v on the auto OC feature.
The on-board LAN only works with XP64, but the MB driver CD will not auto play in Windows XP64. (missing about 3-4 files)
The MB driver CD auto plays in XP Pro, but it will not load the drivers for the on-board LAN, says wrong platform. Also, some ASUS stuff would not even see the MB as it`s own in XP64 (no ASUS MB error).
