Appears as though they anticipate a little more overclocking to be done with the revision 1 - judging from the active cooler. Mine looks like the top board, and the lock does not work, but I've managed to get it up to 250 with a pata hard drive. The sata drive just wouldn't work above 212.
I have the board with the working lock, hits 300FSB no problem, which is the limit, mine is the board with the passive heatsink.
Main problem is low VDDT/VBT voltage I think, mermory does not overclock as well.
The later BIOS reduces memory to 2.8v but the earlier UGURU lets you put it back up there to 3.2v.
Now need better memory to run 1:1 rather than 5:4 as it is a massive hit.

I was thinking to order this mobo(abit kv8 pro) but can i be sure that i can use my 2x512 Corsair Xms 4000 memory at 1:1 at 260-280mhz?
Currently i have a Chaintech znf 250 but i Suxx big times, cant use 2x512 sticks(wont boot at 1:1 210-260mhz, only manage too boot when i set my memory at 133mhz ht3 "fsb 260"2600mhz

thats probaly cause you´re using 2 x 512 modules.. and dont expect the kv8pro would go there at all..

Pretty stock here, My Chaintech znf-250 wont boot at 1:1 200-270mhz, but if i set my memory at 133mhz theres no problem(really kills my performance)
So any suggestion for a new mobo?

TinTin can you do me a favor and use SiSoft and do both CPU benches @ stock speed I have roughly the same setup as you and I'm getting roughly the same score as a P4 2.8 I'm scoring roughly a 8800 on 3DMARK03 with a X800 XT. Tried on 2 different MBs and same score. I have a 3000+ clawhammer but a newcastle on its way. I have no clue why my scores are so low. My friend tried my X800 XT on a P4 2.8 and scored a 12880.
Here is a link of my stuff with a 5900 Ultra and do I really only have a CPU score of 226?

I have taken my 3200+ (claw) and plug a 3400+ (NC)! I want a claw 3400+/3700+, but no stock in HK, and the distributor said, never 3700+ (claw) :mad:
Did you check the BIOS (see RAM freq, setting, DDR400??) and try to reinstall the windows? And follow the normal rules for installing drivers sequence?
Yea I check everything but still very bad scores, guess I will just have to wait till Friday and see if its a CPU problem.
Ahhh totally forgot to install the via 4in1 drivers boosted my scores 30%
