hmmm

I think Tic'ys D23 is a hair more stable for me than Trats D24.

Im thrashing this at the 215Mhz point, its rock solid Tic'y old buddy.

Now you can really make a friend with the same mod in D10, and also, there are a ton of people here with ASUS A7N8Xdeluxe boards using Uber1007 bios that desperately need the same CPC mod. I mention it just incase you need more droogie's to worship you :D

Agree'd SAE, the 121 is so far rock solid, I really like it, and it's great not having to worry about 1500mile service call to my brother when he calls :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:ing about his new computer not working right, yada yada yada!!

LPuB, 2500+mobile, 1Gig BH5, 2x Raptor36G, 9800pro vmod'd, 550W ps, 8X+/-DVD burner, Superlanboy case, heatsinks up the wazzuu.... I think he has a nice system.

hehe SAE, u seen rickaye's (sp?) screenshot of him hitting 285fsb with his pc2700 on his infinity out of the box? then again, his timings were 3-6-6-11. :D

I have seen many gain improvement on the bios over PC Perspective forums.. I patch D23 3D fire to last 2 days... And some gain good performance on that bios.. But i found out that these bios is running on DFI Infinity/LPB
PCR Register timing. Coz BPL is related to PCR valeu...
So i pull back my patch version...
Coz i want the patch to work on ABIT PCR register not DFI...

my system:
2600-M, NF7-S r2, 1x512MB Cosair BH5 (waiting on more to arrive so i can use DC)
results so far....................
10x245 1.75vcore 3.1vdimm 1.55vtt 1.8vdd 2-2-2-11 1x512MB 2hours prime95 and still running :D

should be working coz this is base on 1st D23 3D fire....

tested it up to 235MHz multi 10

prime stable with geil value ram :)

BTW Tictac, fill me in here. The file you made available to me is the BIOS itself? So that means, I don't need the "NF2AA131" BIOS I wanted in the other thread?

Can I flash using ABIT"s Window's Flashmenu or do I have to boot into DOS?

so i just flashed back to d23_3DFire and everything is OK now...

this is weird... this new BIOS just does not let me boot above 225FSB... i have L12 mod done and (it may be ridiculous) i start to think that maybe that and "wire mod" and "L12 Bios fix" don't play well together...

on pprevious bios he stuck @ 206MHz

now 235MHz :)

guess what, TicTac....
i flashed back to d23_3DFire_r2...

i removed "wire-mod"... after Load Optimised Defaults" my mobile booted at 6x134 (800mhz)... with d23_3DFire, wire-mod and same procedure it booted at 6x166 (1000mhz)...

since your screenshot shows Throughbred, i decided to swap CPUs... with wire removed i put my 2700+ and it boots fine at 233FSB so far...

so my conclusion is that this new BIOS doesn't recognize mobile CPU the way it should and that what prevents it from POSTing at bove 225FSB...

EDIT: with d23_3DFire_r2, TBred 2700+ i got no post at 238FSB... flashed back to d23_3DFire again and typing now at 240x9... new BIOS has definetely issues with mobile Barton...

on the D24_ED_C18 with "built-in L12" and Infinity timing (i think?) my L12 mod is recognised fine and i get a massive FSB increase... maybe its the new BPL that's p!ssing the board off...

Tictac, I tried the d23_3DFire_r2 BIOS but it won't allow me. It says, my AN7 is not compatible with that BIOS. How do I get around this?
