Sure, but only if you can crack 25.5K first. J/K:D Congrats for smashing 25K, BTW:toast: PM me with your email and I'll send out several versions of the 5/5 for you to test. I have 4 other testers that have reported positive results so far but could always use more. I'm trying to figure out the format of the new ROMSIP tables that Oskar implemented beginning with 4/29. He also made some significant changes in timings. The versions I sent out to the other guys, I'm not even certain if they are optimal, but I'll send you several samples until I have it totally figured out.Quote:

@Naasar: pm me with your email.
I can also test this 5/5 bios. Right now I'm with moded 5/5 but it is not good version .. I get disk boot failure and whe I reset I load win with no problem.
And guys ..... do you know how to get my CPU work with vCore more than 1,875V ... when I set in BIOS more than 1,875 I load Windows but whe I start Prime the PC resets in about 20 seconds. And I'm sure that my CPU is prime stable on 2700mhz with Air cooling.
Yeah. YGPM :cool:Quote:

Damn, this thread looks like it has a lot of good info on it. I'm currently debating swapping my NF7-Sv2 for an Infinity cos I can't run stable with my 2*512 DS KHX3000 at anything over 266MHz FSB :(
Would it be possible for someone to post those latest BIOSs somewhere everyone can download them?
Looks like I'll do it then :D
I need to get myself a bios savior I think.. its tempting to get a 5-5-121 bios to try on my infinity.. but this 429-12/18 is just soo stable for me.. :D
To those who sent me PMs and anyone else who wants to try the Infinity/LPB 5/5 BIOS with the 1/21 ROMSIP tables:
As soon as SAE gets done testing and gives me feedback on which version is optimal, I will upload it to the XS servers and start another thread.
I am testing atm :DQuote:

So far so good. You did a nice piece of work there
I feel, for those who are missing the full stability of all peripherals and such... they should take the fully modded 16tbl version. For it's no good as I prefer to up my clocks from windows as APIC is stopping me from booting into windows at these clocks. But as I know (you too, I think) 1-21 had an older and more inefficient way of handling APIC and could not go as high as 1-31 later could. OSKAR did some changes from there on.
So I not only cannot boot into windows at those clocks I had with 5-5C18 but also had severe problems booting up at all! I had to drop the fsb by 4MHz to get it working... but in windows I got a lockup while upping the fsb :(
I am testing the 6tbl version now. We'll see how it goes. One thing I know for sure: It's more stable and APIC is not effected there. I can use 8rdavcore to increase my fsb :D
Results in the Xtreme OC/superpi or pifast threads...
YGPM ill test too, im armed with a bios savior so ill try.
You sure about that SAE? Here's the change log for 1/21 as posted by Oskar:Quote:

Quote:
1. Update OPTIMAL and AGGRESSIVE CPU interface define above 200 MHZ
2. Improve nVidia AGP card performance
3. Improve APIC stability with all device turned on @ High overclocked FSB
4. Increase AGP Controller latency as 0FFh to improve 3DMark2001SE stability
So you're saying that 505_M16 is the most stable (no peripheral drops) but at the cost of FSB?Quote:

So 505_M6 allows your usual FSB but with some peripheral drop? How about 505_M10? Just so you know, none of the 3 versions I sent you was modded the same way as the one WildKard got. I only changed 4 tables in his version.Quote:

Anyways, thanks for your rather quick feedback so far. Are you ready for 3 more versions?:D
Ok fellas. I'm still sweating from my current experience but here goes. Just went through my second bad flash. 4-29 was the first and now N24ID505.Bin. Thank god for my bios saviour! Even with that it took awhile to flash it back to the 12-31 bios. Now heres the problem. Everything is back to normal except i have no lan whatsoever now. I'm on my other computer now typing this. c-mos has been cleared and i restarted my router and cable modem. Still no dice. But this rig works fine on the same connection. Any ideas?
@AdvModDev
which version dis you send me? I see all these M16 and M10 names now... The one I have you said the tables matched the 1-21 hex for hex. Could you clear up which one that is?
You'll need to go into the Genie section of the BIOS (where you tweak FSB, volts, multi, etc.) and scroll to the "nVidia Lan MAC Address" setting and enter in your NIC address. You can find it on the AGP port I think. If not:Quote:

1) click start, run, type: cmd
2) type: ipconfig /all
3) look for: physical address
4) write this number down, go back into BIOS, and enter it
I'm sorry for your bad flash, buddy. This is the same version I sent to WildKard and he had no problems. I'm guessing you have one of those mobos that will not flash to 4/29 or 5/5. After you get your NIC fixed, post how you flashed this BIOS. I can also send you a "safer version".
looked up the physical address and wrote it down. went into bios and change lan mac address to enabled and entered what i had copied down. still no lan. any ideas? i wrote down the physical address number but my ip and some other numbers where on that page as well.
i just noticed when i went back into bios it set itself back to disabled? why won't it save it?
Ok, the first one (4/29) had 4 tables out of 16 modified, but only the ROMSIP timings. The second one (5/5) also had 4 tables out of 16 modified, but includes the full header as well (this is what I meant by "hex value for hex value". Sorry for the confusion.Quote:

I wanted to be conservative or "safe" by only changing the 4 tables that I believed corresponded to the 200 FSB ROMSIP. But this may not be "optimal' or even correct. So I have decided to try various combinations since and do some comparison to crack Oskar's methodology. I know SAE likes to test BIOSes so I will use him as the "guinea pig'' unit I get it totally right. I won't send anymore out after hearing about sparkie's bad flash. I'm going to wait for SAE's results and then come up with the optimal one for both the Infinity and LPB.
I think this is normal. Try typing this into cmd: ipconfig /renew. Reboot a couple of times.Quote:

If that doesn't work, I would try reflashing 12/31 again. Load "optimized defaults", reflash, physically clear the CMOS for 5 minutes or so, power on, load "optimized defaults", reboot and then set your normal settings.
Don't know what i did to fix it but i did! i won't be flashing again for a long time after these last two experiences. Its just so temping though. I got a processor that'll do 2.6ghz but only at
236x11 cpc on no problem.
247x10.5 cpc on no go.
247x10 cpc on no problem
So i know the ram can run the speeds without problems but i can't get it to do it with the 10.5 multiplier which is the one i need to get a nice fsb overclock.
That is why i keep trying different bioses hoping that one of themwill allow me to do so.
Its a shame that bios didn't go well. it had a better selection of vcore adjustments.
I used winflash by the way.
Hey Sparkie, are you using SBC Internet Services? They've been having network probs all day. I just lost my internet connection for about 15 minutes.Quote:

Anyways, the 4/29 BIOS you flashed, was that Oskar's or EvilouS' version (the one posted in this thread)? BTW, you're not alone when it comes to people having bad flashes for either the 4/29 or 5/5. Just go to AMDMB DFI forum and you'll know what I'm talking about. Have you ever tried the DOS method using switches to flash BIOSes? I think it's much safer than Winflash.
Only use winflash. i've had great luck with it untill the 4-29 came along. It was oskar's version that i had the bad flash with. I originally tried that one because it said it could help with stability for doubles sided sticks of ram. my khx3000 won't run with cpc on but they will easily do 250+ with it off. i was hoping with the 4-29 i could have ran those sticks with cpc on at those speeds. o well.
Ok, buddy. If you ever get the itch to try another flash, you might want to consider using DOS for once following my trusty procedure:Quote:

The version of Awdflash is 8.24, which some have said allows for flashing to the latest Betas for people that previously had bad flashes. I've never had a bad flash, but I can imagine how much it would suck. Better luck next time and thanks for trying my 5/5 anyways.
Yeah. I am sure he changed sth again.Quote:

Currently testing Superpi16m, hehe. At 12x257
For me perfect. And about the drops of sound etc... I cannot comment on it as I only tested stabilitywise with prime, superpi and pifast and if it goes as high as C18.
Hey Adv. You're great :DQuote:

Me guinea pig, you great ;)
Ok, please also test for any peripheral drops. If you get none, then I think M6 maybe a potential winner. I have also flashed to the Infinity version of M6 and will test out a few other combinations before I make a final decision.Quote:

Please also try M10 if you get the chance. If you feel like testing out the version (4 Tables) I sent to WildKard, G|-|ost, and others then let me know. I was also going to send you two more (one with 6 Tables in reverse and one using EvilouS's methodology). I'll be testing all of these on my machine but would like some LPB feedback. They both use the exact same System ROM but who knows?
:DQuote:

Yeah. Please send me the other ones too... but I cannot garantuee you I notice any difference (besides lockup or not) ;)
