maybe so for the first month, let all those early birds overpay while prices drop to $500-600 a month later. It was the same with the geforce2 ultra, I saw it in best buy for $529 a month after it got released at $700!
Are we talking US dollers here?Quote:

If so fark thats going to be over a grand
Not happy :stick:
Yep its called market skimming ;)
haha, it's ridiculous ... no current game, or any game under development needs this kind of power anyway ... $800-900, you have to be a sick 3DMark freak to shell out that much.
lol do u want a bashing!? :D most of those freaks hang out right here! :D
Awesome score as always macci:toast:
Hey don't talk to the freaks like that, they do their job just as good as you and your lil fx5200 :PQuote:

wont happen unless you dont mind checkerboards, that is, if ati hasnt fused the bad pipes to make modding impossible alltogether
Noone would pay that.Quote:

Probably will fall to $450 for the topline like every other year...
top cards start out at about $800 but they drop quickly down to $500 or $600 within a month anyway then drop slowly now on
doubt ati is gonna let that happen again.:(Quote:

ps.. gf4.. you dont get flamed for predictions being totally off the mark, you get flamed for making predictions in EVERY thread that really arent based on any solid foundation. When you were making 30k predictions with r420 and barton, the r420 was just a number and we knew nothing about it, and we still dont know much, but enough to know that it should be really fast. Your first post was just fine, assuming one doesnt get picky over "owned". But once you start getting mad over charlie saying something half joking that you said in every thread and got flamed for, and THEN you do it in the next sentence, its going too far. 40k with prometia? How do you figure? You dont. Thats the problem, you dont figure, you randomly guess, and its annoying. Please, quit, before you find yourself on more ignore lists.
oops.. wasnt supposed to be another post.
very nice macci.. :)
congrats macci
u can always caress ur hardware into submission.
no go for OPPs score,, lol
Macci does it again:thumbsup:
All I can say about the new hardware up and coming is that it will be damn interesting to see what Macci, OPP and a few others will be doing with it.
It'll be fun to watch for sure:D
Great score there macci:toast:
just out of curiosity what is your ddr voltage???? With my kingston pc3200 i got 272mhz 2,5,2,2 at 3.65v... I tried raising the voltage but it didnt help so im just curious what yours was at???
Thanks for the support :toast:
AMD rox hehe :D
I have to say that it was one of the easiest bench session I've done. I just powered it up and started benching - first score a bit over 30k..clockgen.. 30.5k.. rivatuner.. 30.8k... rivatuner .. 31k..shut down :D
Good car low w/ 2nd run too.
It was amazing to see it hit over 190FPS and overtook OPPs FX51 in lobby hi! also the peak FPS in lobby low was at 728 (on my old A64 run of 29991 @2947 etc I saw 688 max there).
The extra CPU speed, RAM speed and faster timings gave a nice boost in system performance over my old A64 score.
CCC, RAM was at 3.71V I think. Only one VR soldered on board (Vcore) ;)
yea its funny once the nv40 comes out, the orb soon will be full of those high scores. supposedly stock a64 3200+ and stock nv40 will break 30k LOL
Where the heck are you getting these numbers? For the last couple years brand new cards have been introduced at $499, with a lower clocked part at $399.Quote:

I've got a friendly girl in the USA for the next 5 weeks so hopefully at $1.80: £1 she can pick me up a bargain.
Macci's experience with an easy benching run reminds me of my easiest ever bench, it was with the FX 5200 ultra and as I had just got the AMD64 and the 5200U class is not that competitive I just worked out what the top clocks for it were, set the cpu to same and then did the washing up. Got back, clicked submit and it was a done deal :) It made up for all those times you stay up till 4am and get nothing.
Regards
Andy
Macci that's a great score!!!!
I think that i need some new cooling too my cpu/gpu before i wil benche again. I am hoping too get 30,2-30,5k out of my rigg but its damn hard work :-(
