Yes it was damaged in shipping and it was insured for replacement value (new mach1+chilly1 mods) he will probably reapair the unit and send them a bill.Quote:

Well here is some more screenies. Bumped vcore up to 1.85 and mem up to 3.5 and I'm still surfing around at 261x11 I havn't tried 3d at this fsb yet. I tried 270fsb but was quickly greated with a bsod probably needs a little more mem voltage.
hows 265x11 for 2.920 I've made 3d benchies at 260.Dam* fedex I could have been climbing my way to the top of the 3d charts this weekend
You'll probably have it back in time to make a nice 3dmark push
Damn cowpuppy,
that really sucks about your gpu cooler :(
Sounds like your chip is a winner. I Still havent gone over 1.85v yet with this one. Best 3dmark run was so far with my dtr was at 250x11 with 1.71v cpu and 3.15v ddr. However, once I got past this point it seemed to need alot of juice for small increases on fsb. It needs almost 1.8vcore to do 255x11 fsb for 3dmark.
It might be my cpu cooling unit though. It seems to be struggling when under full load. It sounds like it is bogging or something :( I might yank off the cooling head and measure the temps on the evap to see if there is anything to it.
how come you AGP/PCI are 66/33 with such a huge FSB overclocl - i though all NF3 150 boards only had an AGP lock?
because clock-gen reports the freq wrong.Quote:

hot damm
k|ngp|n: hey crank up that mem voltage. Oh by the way my vcore changes with multipliers. when I'm at 4x on start up it reads 1.2 in bios only after changing to 11x does it come back up to the 1.85 that I had previously set. This maybe causing some A64 deaths if this is happening with regular A64's. Imagine setting for 1.85 at a 8x multiplier and then switching to a 11x could cause major over volting and if you have the mem volts cranked way up too........... dead A64.
Sounds like someone should investigate that possibility with a regular a64. If anyone wants to send me their's I would be more than willing :D
Man..been so busy lately I havent had time to bench.
I think I see 30k on the horizon :) Check out what this chip can do now that I got the contact on the cooling head good. This is with the default XT clocks and 1.74vcore and only 3.23vdimm.

These results are much better than before. It just didnt seem like it was running cold enough before so I yanked off the cooling head and sure as    .....just the top right corner of the die was making good contact. Temps are reading -16c in bios on an50r right after 3d runs at these clocks. Temps were going down to 1c in bios before I fixed up the top prommy bracket better. 270-275x11 would be tight as hell.
How are you doing on yours cowpuppy? Whats your best 3d01 with default XT clocks? At what volts?
damn, looking realy nice!
How did you get the contact better? Did you just file some more off the prommy bracket?
30K would be nice, good luck :toast:
Hey looking good King :D I ran a couple default VC clock speeds and got a score of 23,4somfin that was with DX9 and WinXP and cat 4.3's on my everyday VC clocks I'm rippin 25,000's just by moving the sliders.
I tried hooking up my pelt and chiller to my VC last weekend but some reason I couldn't pull 540/425 out of it the best score I could muster out of 01 was 26,935 wich I did'nt even post. I may have to TAP warrenty this card when I get my VC cooler.
I'm able to run 255x11 24/7 thats my everyday clocks with 1.85vcore and 3.52 mem I can run LDT at 2.5 at this speed too. I play UT04 for hrs at a time without any stability problems.
I think I may check my seat this weekend (havn't yet) What exactly did you do to get a better seat? Did you adjust the legs on the MB mount brkt? I'm getting -2c in bios but I'm running a stock Mach2.
What kind of volts are you running to your mem to get 275 out of it?
Check out this Super PI I cant remember what clocks this was
You play ut04 cowpuppy??? I play deathmatch alot man. Maybe we have played lol. I have another rig sitting right next to my bench one that runs a 3400(air)/k8npro/9800XT (on water)/1gLevel2/raid0-raptors. I dont play UT overclocked at all though. Just set the timings to 5-2-2-2 and it flies for me
And gouda96....To get good contact, I had to completely remove the legs on prommy bracket and carve out spaces for all MB components that were in the way. The bracket now sits flush on the motherboard with very small roll of seal string.
Really nice super pi cowpuppy....
Damn that is some nice stuff. Beats the crap out of my p4's @ 4ghz :(
I play alot of onslaught myself. I go by [unf]SinZapatos.
Well.....I think I am near the end of the line with this chip. I might be able to get to 268-269x11, but I think that's going to be it. Sorry about these sh**ty pics BTW....I am at 2932mhz 1:1 with 1.95v cpu and 3.47v ddr ldt @ 2.5. Here is my best 3dmark 01' so far with default xt clocks:
http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL256/...6/50628501.jpg
Here is acompare url for this bench: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7740455
This is about 500 points faster than I could get with other 3400's I tested so I am happy. Now I just hope my XT can still go 625/452 :P Should be good for 29,800 or so I think.
king awsome clocks for both you guys but you need fx51. being able to run 3ghz at 1.725v leaves your mosfets cold the board able to run huge loads 24/7 and so on.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...threadid=33292
and with 28s under 3ghz ;) pure bliss

Really nice clocks dude...I was tempted to grab fx53 but I am waiting for 939 for FX. I have two sticks of mushkin lv2 here that go up to 280 @ 5-2-2-2 and believe me...... I can't wait to use them in dual channel on 939 fx setup:). I am looking forward to you joining me on the first page and your 30k+ score :) Pretty soon, gonna need 30k just to stay there.
I would really rather break 30k with 754 a64 than fx though :P I have been trying so hard for quite awhile now, it would be a shame not to get it without grabbing some faster harware. I'm so close.
Well it seems that I have toasted my DTR tonight trying to get a better seat on the core. I didn't have a good seat and after removing the promi head I smelled that stinch of burt silicone. It's no big deal I bought a warrenty from Newegg on the DTR. This one had a nick in the core, on the edge when I got it any ways.
I think I want a Vapo LS just for the ease of mounting. Or I'm going to come up with my own idea with some treaded rods but still use most of the mach2 kit.
DOH...that chip was a runner too. Hope you have luck with your new one
See if you can get your hands on one of the 1.2V, 35W 2800+'s instead lol!.
OMG...that sux big time CP. That was a good chip too :(
Return that thing and maybe you'll get an even better one.
Hey Guys
What Bios Version do u use on the Shuttle AN50r with the 3400 DTR? My 3200+ DTR dosn“t work on my shuttle with the 26er Bios. I become no signal on the monitor.
run the DTR on the Gigabyte K8N Pro?
Sorry for my bad english :(
Riverna: you have to run the 10/30 bios.........GL in finding it at shuttle.com.........maybe someone here could help you with it, I'm on a dial up or I would send it to ya.
k|ngp|n: What up man. I just got my RMA request from Newegg and thats exactly what I was thinking maybe I'll get a reall (_}_) kickin chip this time. I'm trying to get them to give me a warrent on the new cpu, it's nice having a little insurance. I think I will do the same with the FX53 when it comes out, buy the OEM with a 30 day warrenty and get the extended warrenty and theres no dealing with AMD to RMA the CPU. I'll give you a call.
Damn, dial-up? I am sorry :D
I wasn't aware of the additional insurance you could buy for hardware at newegg. How long is it, and how much did it cost for your dtr? One of the main reasons I worry when I go all out with a chip is the fear of losing it (not that it actually stops me), but with a nice newegg warranty I would be able to sleep better at night.
Deffiantely gonna have to get that for all future hadware I get from newegg, do you know if they offer it on refurbs?
Cleared that up when I realized how stupid it was to pester a fellow member with questions like that...6% for the extended warranty is nice, too bad they don't offer it on refurbs, which makes sense.
