Hello
M.2/SATA Express are tied to the PCH so have no influence on devices using PCIe lanes from the CPU.

Updated 1st post with M7G UEFI 0025 for XP and to help under Ln2 POST:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz2...it?usp=sharing
I must completely suck at OC on Asus BIOS then, same settings on a chip that IMC can do 2600 on Asrock Z87 OC Formula won't pass on M7H.
Make sure you match up subtimings. Will need to tune sense amps and some of the slew settings. CPU input voltage may be different due to LLC as well.
Gene DRAM layout is changed this time - will sit in between for 2 dimm and 4 dimm perf, where last time 4 DIMM was preferred.
100MHz BCLK is no good for 2600 and 2666?
nice work roy! keep pushing
Thanks Allen :) IMC helps
Got the Gene in this morning thanks to Amazon Prime. Looks like my 2000C6 Pi sticks have degraded so testing with a brand new kit of Trident 2000C9, BTW which of the various UEFI versions posted in the thread is recommended?
Got tired of fooling with finicky 1Gbit ICs (BBSE/PSC, I'm looking at you) and decided to go for something easy.

Not much better than with the Vengeance Pro 2400C10 8GB sticks, only slightly less VDIMM required, but at least clocking MFR isn't rocket science like the older ICs.
Some BBSE, just swapped drive :)
Need to update cpuz as it reads Input voltage instead of vcore and 100.1 was over 4003.xxx so I re ran at 100.0, will run both on every ic as you can see the difference in 3-4 mhz can be substantial all things the same.

Awesome runs George:up:
Thanks George :)
Not so balls to the wall from my side. Just toying with getting a CR2 kit to run CR1 at it's rated voltage just by tuning settings:

Adjusting these was pivotal. Every digit counts. Takes a few days of patience...:

Dude!, what ram sinks are those?
They look perfect for sub cooling...
hahaha guys congrats for all those amazing results !!! i think i will go for the Gene VII what do you think ?
Thanks Roy! As you know IMC strength is critical on legacy stuff and the proof is in the pudding.
Any time Raja :)
I think you are going to love it sergio, bios is very clean and intuitive and I know you want to run sli at minimum so this board fits the bill perfectly.
Tried 4 X 8GB modules from Corsair's Dominator Platinum CMD64GX3MBA2133C9. This kit is rated 2133 at CAS 9 with a command rate of 2. On Z97 it can run faster at the same voltage - dual channel helps obviously. Tweaking settings helps tighten up secondary timings at 1.65V which is what these sticks are rated for at DDR3-2133 :) :

^32GB at 2400mhz with only 1.65v nuts Raja!
I think I might have a 32B kit of Samsung based double sided 8GB modules to try now:)
Got ahold on an M7G the other day. Tested so far with BBSE and Samsung, PSC will follow.Quote:

Overall, the board is within 0.02V of its predecessor. I was able to push the kit for 1350 8-11-7 and 1360 8-12-7 which wasn't possible on Z87, but getting every result on the list took more attempts due to worse compatibility.
Note that the board overvolts Vmem by 0.025-0.035V compared to the value set in the BIOS.Quote:

Overall, the kit seems to need 0.01-0.02V less on comparison to Z87. Using the IC optimizer BIOS option I was able to run 1T, which wasn't possible before. Running 1T might have revealed the tRCD weakness of my kit (1466 x-12-x needs too much voltage) hence the 1466c9 split into 2T and 1T.
