Like I said there has been a BIG difference in FSB ability between 2.8 and 3gig... Ive not worked out why yet but its been present to some greater or lesser degree on all the boards ive tried (but I only have one chip)

Ive never been 100% stable at 3gig, but I have done quite a few 3dmark runs... just a shame I allways had my 9700NP with the poo memory at that time..

But it´s only a screen. No benchmark speed. This cpu chip is not the best..And i´m only using aircoling (-11 out temp air). But i will modd this board a bit more i think...PM me if you have some problem later on with modds and bios and much more..i know this board pretty well. I will trying to modd so i cane get 290fsb but it will be hard...I don´t know how high my hyperX bh5 goes with tight timmings @3.7-3.9v.

Aparently I have a Infinity B coming.

What does the "B" stand for?? Better chipset or what??

there is no infinity b, but they have a lan party b. that must be what your getting. the only difference is that it has some additional useless features and looks nice with the black pcb and uv green everything else.

i want one, but i just got a nf7-s and its too late to send back to newegg. but i really need a fsb higher than 200 to really get my mushkin lvl II to a respectable speed. if you're ever gonna get rid of your lan party, i'd gladly take it off your hands :D :toast:

So maybe it's a new thing:D

I guess if it's an Infinity with just more features and not a performance enhancment it really doesn't matter anyway.

Just a newer rev. I wonder what your XP-M 2400 will do. What kind of cooling are you going to put on that thing?

Talked to Travis (DFI guy), It's gotta be a Infinity A or A+

There's the LanParty B ...in this case B isn't revision number, it's part of the model name. So its LanParty B rev A or something like that.

maybe OPP has the uber-new rev. of infinity that none of us have cuz he has connections and stuff

We'll just have to wait and see, I'm guessing a LanParty then:D

It is defiantly the BH-6 and BH-6 chips, if you feed them with 3v+ they will do whatever you tell them to;)

I mentioned the 2400+ mobile as i reckon they are designed to run at low voltage and decent clocks, usually if a chip does well at low volts it opens some serious wupass with more :D

The Rev B is shown at the store i buy stuff from in the UK so i think its normal. I think the first infinity was a KT400 lol so mebbe its so no-one mistakes it for that heheh.

The 2800+ i have is an AQUCA chip, the same stepping as the 3000+ and probably a 3200+.

It prime stable at:

2.43 GHz @1.75v
2.53 GHz @1.93v

3D Mark stable at:
2.55 GHz @1.95v

PiFast sable at:
2.57 GHz with 2.06v.

The max i have got into windows at is 2.67 GHz and the max i have posted is 2.7 GHz.

This is using an SLK900U and vantec 92mm tornado, thel prime 3d mark and PI Fast testing was done with the case sides on too ;) So at -120 i think you'd manage at least 3.0GHz :D

I imagine you'll get something similar from a 3200+, mines a week 28 btw :)

DFI KT400 LanParty

DFI NFII Ultra LanParty A (old version, no mounting holes, not as good clocker, not as much voltage options)

DFI NFII Ultra LanParty B / DFI NFII Ultra Infinity A/A+ (these are identical, I believe rev A's have metal socket lever and A+'s have plastic):confused:

both LanParty B & Infinity are collectively called NFII Ultra B

there was something magical about those week 30s, must have been some very pure silicon or maybe they tried some new mix of metals or protective or isolating layer... the later chips oced worse, but the recent ones seem to oc pretty nice again, only that they are all locked (except for the mobiles of course...)

I know the new locked ones perform great but a lot of chips around week 35 were pretty bad :stick:

AMD can't send me a 3200 333 chip, they offered a 3200 400 or 3000 333, like a dummy I took the 3000:D

Thats what I thought - the 3200+ 333MHz is an OEM item - for companys like HP that use cheap boards and RAM that won't run 200 FSB, but need to spec high end CPUs.

ohh! nice chip opp, the XPMW are generally pretty good, week 47 should clock well, and batch 193 isnt bad either. i think we may have a 3gig chip here!, seems teh newer the AXP chips the better they OC, especially the unlocked mobiles! im ordering another mobile this week and hopfully ill get a week 50+, a week 1 would RULE!!
