What combination of trans and rec slews for samsung 30nm? I'll stop by local micro center to get this ram:D
The guide said setting 2 was tyically best for samsung, but I kept failing, so I tried setting them both to 3 and that seemed to do the trick.
Not sure what Im doing yet but this seemed to work.
My next mobo:D
Just got this board, so far I havn't been able to install an os, have tried 6 different os's and 4 drives + various rams in different slots but it refuses to install.
One thing I really do find puzzling though is I've noticed most of you guy's are on 0880 bios, I've just been on the asus download page and it only lists 0602 & 0701 avaliable for download and what's even stanger my board shows 02** (can't remember the other two numbers).
ahci or ide?
What does it do? Does it post? Can you see the hdd in bios? Windows tries but can't see your disk? Etc etc
This will help greatly.
:)
Yes it post's, I can go into the bios, make changes etc. Can go into the win7 installation menu, can load raid drivers from the disk, but when I try to install there is a message saying something like "setup cannot find any partitions "bla blah blah". Win XP install disk does not even boot at all, bloody wierd:shrug::confused:
I will be flashing to a new bios when I get home (07.00 GMT), hopefully that will sort it out.
sure its not a hard drive error. can you test it on another setup?
The only other setup's I can try are another cpu and other psu, I have another psu but not another cpu, apart from that all the drives + os's were working perfectly with my previous board (asus p8p67 pro b2).
Hers a link with the bioses posted by Shamino over at KP Cooling Forums http://kingpincooling.com/forum/show...20&postcount=1
Thanks, will give it a try later.
***UPDATE****
Problem sorted, I flashed to 0880 and I was able to instal os successfully, thanks all.

which one is more accurate?
CPU temp is pretty much heatspreader temp (temp around the socket or so). Very inaccurate when far away from calibration point.
Use Core temps.
I'd stick to RealTemp / CoreTemp.
Hooked up my runmc phase change last night, evap temp stays between -40 and -42c , saw -39c for a few seconds running wprime. 5400mhz max benchable, 5.5 bootable but not benchable, have not hammered it with vcore yet. 2933mhz memory so far with the TeamXtreme 2400mhz kit. Was hoping to play more tonight but the wife has company, and they dont seem to want to leave
@owikh84 Unless tjmax is 120c I would guess RealTemp is not reading correct. Maybe UncleWeb can help with this.
