Definately mate, I want to test those unlocked clocks and then hurry and get it water cooled , whats the word
On the factory TiM ? What is it? Phase change like that Indigo stuff ?
:)
It's supposed to be proprietary phase change stuff. I haven't yet pulled the cooler off ours to see and we were barred by AMD from removing it prior to testing for the reviews.
So do I fully close the Asus utility or minimise it? Sorry I'm at work so I can't try if until later.
:)
Just close the monitoring utility and tell it not to start at windows startup while you're at it. The clocking tool and monitoring tool are two separate processes.
FYI, Afterburner apparently has up to 1.3V instead of 1.25 like the ASUS tool. :D
Any word on how much voltage the stock cooler can handle? If afterburner has easy access to 1.3v does that mean its pretty safe there ?
How long until you can take the cooler off for a look?
:)
It hasn't complained up to 1.25V. I'll find out as soon as I have an opportunity if it gets mad at 1.3V. :p I can take it off any time now I suppose. Time is my only problem.
Jeez mate what have you got for a CPU? My 2600k at gaming clocks scores 34000+ CPU score ..... What volts and is fan at full ?
:)
25k @ 5.2 GH, vgpu 1.225, FAN 65 %

Do you score better with your vmem clocked up? My scores go backwards, not by much but they don't increase either .....
My HT must make a huge difference then...
:)
It seems that AMD code their drivers to take advantage of as many threads as possible, it suites their architectural decisions on the CPU side of the business :)
Got mine:
5GHZ 2700K

I just installed AB beta and now I have issues ..... AB monitoring is showing vgpu vdroop, while its set to 1.300 its dropping to 1.199v under load and Im getting bad artifacting, now I get artifacting at clocks that were stable before ..... Im not sure what to try next .....
Pinto do you have any other gpu utilities installed or only AB beta?
This is my best so far - at 1245mhz - 2700K at 5000 MHz :
pic later
:)
Only AB beta m8. I'll check if i have vdrop.
The drop may be a ghost but the artifacts arent .....
:(
Drop here too, 1.3v in AB 1.21v load...
It doesnt seem to happen with gpu tweaker though so I'm
Not sure which is correct
My card is maxed at 1270 with 1.30v (dropping to 1.21v) so next is water cooling.....
:)

So i need to flash the card with asus bios.
Pinto - I have Asus bios and I can't get as high clocks or as high score as yours , I got p9920 last night at 1270, you have a boost somewhere that I'm not getting, I will try all your clocks and see what I get, do you have sp1?
:)
Did you use the last 8.921.2.0 drivers? They gave me 500pts 3D11 boost.
Just noticed these cards showed up at newegg, I guess today :shrug: , so I ordered. Hope to join you guys in a couple days with some results.
Yep, surprisingly there are multiple models right at the $550 price AMD said. Good on them!
Haha they are going up here, a few surfaced at around $700 and apparently most have gone up closer to $800 ...... I paid $695 for mine but I'm happy as I was due for something new to bench and this fits the bill for now ( until gtx780 turns up ....)
:D
