Since the article is worded a bit poorly (it indicates both employees of google and google itself were targeted) there's nothing wrong with either your argument or anyone elses, other than you are siding on the emails being targeted at the employees.

Your opinion would be less unpopular if you noticed and didnt discount the possibly poor wording of the article.
