F7D was pulled, wonder what was wrong with it, dinos, any ideas?
Hi, i would like to ask you something.
I heard that with the ud7 if you disable c1e, speedstep, turbo... and all those features the clocks are ever at the same speed, i mean you change the main multi, does it happens also in ud4 and ud5??? Ever at 4.5, 4.6, ...?
Thanks in advance
Regards
F7E is out
To avoid vcore drop change vcore to normal and use dynamic voltage + instead with llc on u get almost no vcore drop.
This may be old news here, but I just discovered that upping the Vtt and Vccsa on my board by a notch each, helped me get Prime95 stable on clocks that were previously failing (even though they were passing LinX). Running 4.8 with 1.4V (1.38V load) now.
Please tell how many volt you encrease..
Has anyone had a chance to test the SATA 3 speeds yet? just asking as I saw somewhere that some motherboards SATA 3 ports can be a waste of space.
I don't see nothing wrong, with a little bump n grind... :cord:
Ohh, sorry I mean, I don't see anything funky when you get these boards cold

Best Bclk I could do at -45C, 1085 set in the BIOS.
Updating BIOS now to check for max multi. I'm glad I tried cooling these down and putting aside what many people have observed.
I could barely do 102 Bclk at normal temps. Previous max multi was 51, lets see what colder temps can do!
UD4 is Rocking!
 my chip doesnt do more than 104.5 on air lol
Coolaler already clock at 110.74 bclk and 5.5GHz.

anyone explain ?
Sandybridge maximum safe voltages
Core Voltage - Not recommended too exceed 1.38v, doing so could kill the CPU, we therefor recommend a range of 1.325-1.350v if overclocking.
Memory Voltage - Intel recommend 1.50v plus/minus 5% which means upto 1.58v is the safe recommended limit. In our testing we have found 1.65v has caused no issues.
BCLK Base Clock - This is strictly a NO, anyone using base clock overclocking could/will cause damange to CPU/Mainboard. (Set manually to 100)
PLL Voltage - Do not exceed 1.9v!!

I think about 102 is the limit for this one on air, not sure though as I think I only tried once and it may have been at a high multi?
Well Phase was easy to use and didn't cause any issues, but it also didn't get me any higher CPU multi either. So 51 must be the limit of this CPU, or I need to maybe try again with UD7 and see if that will help. I do think phase would be nice to use for benching, I didn't have much time to play but I think it would help keep high clocks stable easier than air/water.
I do have to say, WOW, the older BIOS is much more stable when it comes to failed overclocks and rebooting at high clocks. I used F3 for a long time and it was like X58/P55 with failed clocks, but as soon as I moved to the newer BIOSes to try with CPU PLL option everything hit the fan when it comes to failed settings and rebooting, ect. That made it super bad for me, I was using a screwdriver to start the board and clear CMOS :D I need to order a set of switches
Hopefully they can fix these issues, otherwise I may just go back to the older BIOSes on UD4 and UD7 for my reviews. I think that may be ok for me anyway because I can boot x51 multi without CPU PLL option, which makes me surprised that even with the option enabled that is all this CPU can do.
I'm gonna try to find a retail soon, if I can scrounge up the cash.
Wow, I can't beat that!
What is max you've seen on Gigabyte Stasio?
1. Which bios is the best?
2. Does any bios make it require less volt for same clock?
3. If something goes wrong while flashing, are there any way to get it back again? Gigabyte dualbios?
Thx
