Congratz for killing your CPU \o/
tested my 2nd good cpu and it did 5.53 on singlestage - but I matched stuwi's wprime32 at less MHZ HAHA :p:

wow SOF, u can run that @ 24/7 usage, such low voltage!
Jesus SoF, is that cpuz vcore reporting correct?
Grats mate - do I see a 5590 32MB on the desktop ? :D
this one runs a bit colder but can't to 5578 booting - good allday chip but nothing for benching all night long - currently i am testin my other one again...2 days I said until crackin' stuwi's 32m -.-
voltages are always ok fyi! :)
anyone tryed running 3dmark06 with HT??
I haven't seen no results so I'm just curious :)
yeah, but it is with aircooling and win7

DomagojX SoF tried and as you can see 2600k beat easily 980x at the same clock http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...80_38624_marks
that's a huge chip on air! WOW! Thanks for reviewing
There you go 38624 with 480 GTX GPU on stock AIR - I was really stunned how well it performed

This is really awesome
1.6v be careful!
Should be alright with SS cooling. GTX480 is the one which runs with air cooling ;)
Yeah I can say 1.6V on singlestage is safe for benching 01-06 as well as of course 1m, 32m, pifast and wprime32m. Been testing for some days now and no issues so far.
For Vantage and wprime1024 I usually go down to around 1.55-1.58 just to be sure.
Also some hints collected for the single stage benchers:
- at the very beginning (first turning on ss and waiting until ~-40°C) the CPU might be very unpredictable --> don't get in a hurry then, let it idle in bios for 1-2 minutes, and then boot from the bios with previously applied settings --> should boot then
- maybe you face lock-ups with "63" "78" or "20" on the postcode --> check your rams / vccsa then --> even the cpu does 1866 or 2133 ram on air, maybe it won't under ss (unfortunatly that is one of my biggest problems)
- usually the border between boot and no boot / hard mhz wall is just 0.1 MHZ bclk speed --> it is not directly related to how high your multiplier goes
+ e.g. : 55x100 = boot and all benches | then 56x100 = freeze during windows bootscreen (typical -> best way to test is xp loading bar) | then 56x99 = boot | 59x99.5=boot | 59x99.9 = freeze | 59x99.8 = boot and most benches = absolut max without any new tweaks in bios
SoF
batch of your 2 cpus please.
thanks
Batch of all 2600K I had: L040B165
btw: 6.640s with new windows :D still on the run -.-
same batch like chrisch
thanks
and same as stummerwinter - we bought the chips together and got all the same batch :)
Just recieved mine in the UK same batch hopefully clocks the same :D Good job though SoF

Don't speculate :D Youa re about to launch a big snowball effect again... sorry but 1.72Vcore on air is just too much...
For 24/7 users 1.4ish seems okay with a decent cooler. I'm getting 70ish degrees during prime at 4.5 1.29Vcore with a TRUE (single fan)... seems my sweetspot for this 2600K... during gaming it hardly breaches 55°C... pretty safe ( I hope :p)
Just first 32M on air ... and cpu can do it at +5550Mhz :D
