no it doesnt set it, but i know its disabled b/c i dont see my c300. and fans run full speed, and in windows my devices say not working/disabled.
Dear forum menber.
Does someone has UD7 rev2.0, please check GOOC BIOS.
Additional function can do correct work or not.
Especially, OC lean mode works fine?
I flashed it sometimes & clear CMOS,
But it does not work correctlly.
I suspect my mobo was defected.
Thank you so much for advance.
Well you got further than I did if you can do 220x21 Linx stable. I can do 23x200 3pass maxburn stable and I can get about 7~8 passes in Linx but it craps out. I think my RAM is bad and so i cam getting new stuff. Also, I am trying to do it with a hexacore w/HT.
I did re-Tim the mb block. It reduced my temps by 3~4c. I can post a template if you like.
THX dr_dx for your kind reply.
Yes, my mobo can enable "OC lean" mode, but it does not apply any BIOS setting.
GOOC site announced if it's enable, disable 3rd party ICs & off the full screen BIOS logo and so on.
You can check this function whether 3rd party ICs disable atuomatically or not.
If it does not set disable 3rd party ICs automatically, same as me, it does not work correctlly, I think.
I understand these setting can be set manually & basically, I set these kind of setting manually same as you.
I only want to know whether it works correctlly or not.
If it does not work correctlly for everyone, I clear my question that's BIOS has bugs.
Thank you so much again for your kind follow up my questions.:)
What are yours max. blclk with this board?
Trying to use qpi @ slow-mode but somehow it won't boot into windows. Using a i7 980X.When I use Auto there's no problem.
With my old w3540 it just work with slow-mode.
Is it the board or the cpu?
there is a qpi slow mode bug with the whole series of board, the multiplier is not set correctly, and so the qpi slow mode is wayyyy too slow and it does not work, you have to work with the x36 and theoretical limit of 8.8ghz qpi, sucks until the engineers can fix it. my 930 has a top blck of 220, but its due to my chip, lsdmeasap has been much higher than that, this board is designed to go way above 220, it has a pci-e mod done to it that earlier boards do not have. And if you have a 980x can't you just up the multiplier? why would qpi be a big issue for you? you dont need to push anywhere next to 200blck.
you guys are right lean mode doesn't work. ill take it up
On a bclk run, I could do 220 but not 225. At speed (4.5~4.62), I can only get 215. I could probably make 220 work but I don't want to run that hard.
I think lsdmeasap and others that have reached a higher bclk were all using a rev1 board. If you read the first 30 pages of the official UD7 thread, you will see that a couple of people got the rev1 up to 237~238.
I haven't heard of anyone getting past 220~222 with the rev2.
QPI Slow (X24) is working for Bloomfield CPU's now, for sure on Rev 1.0 as I've tested it myself.

Just got word last week that they may be getting it going for Gulftown soon as well, it will be x32 for that CPU. As of now it does not work for 980X.
And ya these boards can do some massive Bclks, not sure about this revision as I've only used 1.0, but I'm sure this one can knock the Bclks out there too.
I can boot at 245-246 Bclk on water with low voltage, so depending on your CPU you should be able to get a fairly high Bclk

Best I've been able to hit is 246.61, but that is with x36 QPI (Hopefully soon they will have QPI Slow fixed for Gulftown, cause this CPU has a ton more Bclk left in it for sure)

I know, but I just want to test the cpu/board for its max bclck.
Tnx.
Tnx, for the heads up. I'm looking forward for the (beta)-bios for qpi @ slow-mode.
Get it "stable"at 225...with qpi @ auto

i'm thinkin that with later rev of the bios we will be able to attain higher blcks we only have 2 official non beta bios's lol.
I've been pissed off lately with my build. Stupid Nvidia HDMI audio/video has been driving me crazy lately. Crashing every game, locking up, and hard locking sometimes even.
I tried even a small 166blk w/1650MHz ram @ 8-8-8-24; even took the voltages up to 1.4/1.66 respectively and it couldn't hold. Funny thing is stock speeds on this 940 is fine, temps are great too. 52ºC load so meh I'll stay at stock for now.
the loop is a 940->470->260->MCP35x RES/pump->120.4 w/4 Xigmatek Crystal white fans. Not bad really for a single complete loop.
maybe its something else? thats pretty weird, im pretty stable 4ghz here and I only play BF2 but my movies are flawless.
New BIOS:
GA-X58A-UD7 (2.x) - FC3
GA-X58A-UD5 (2.x) - FC2

Waht's the deal with high Bclock and 980X ? you got an unlocked multiplier... you are somehow wasting ya time, unless you want to show what the board can do, but for 24/7 and benching it's useless...
Any chance Stasio Gigabyte will implement the lean mode into the UD9. Tim H didn't say yes but also not no :p
Thank you great sir :) greatly appreciate both.
he is going for a high blck run, its used to find max blck of the board.
here is qpislow mode set in bios booted up into windows at stock: (133x24)/2=1596

This is normal 36x(133x36)/2=2394

marvell sata3 firmware updated as well, again, this time raid utility works. I'm still trying to figure out what they have done, im going to go for a higher blck.
