I don't use 3DMark much but I'm guessing it's fairly CPU dependant? I see with RAW-Raptor22's rig I have twice the ram but he has 2 extra cores and a quad vs. a dual core. He gains 4-5000 more points. I really doubt a 9800 adds much power over a 8800GTS
Hrmm yeah mine is a 512mb where do I find that on here?

I use performance mode in Vantage for all my runs as many people do as well , kinda depends what you wanna run I guess . Plus use PhysX off :)
06 is still the better benchmark. Vantage is pure fail on a epic scale. Unigine Heaven should be used IMO.
Reinstalled these drivers and now they are working much better, the screen doesnt flicker black anymore.
Funny that with these drivers, the 64 bit Crysis is now faster and smoother than the 32 bit version..
With previous drivers, it was the opposite.
how does the sm 2.0 and 3.0 translate into games? Cause honestly the last generation of video cards after the 8800 series like the GTX 260 and 4890 just didn't blow me away. Since I can play everything I haven't felt a need to upgrade. Granted I have a copy of Crysis unopened but it doesn't even seem like high end cards can still play that game well.
I was kinda ehh.... About switching back to Nvidia after their GTX $600 bs, but I've had this card for a few years and most of the drivers have been great except for one which made my vid card or something squeel it was horrible but I've really come around since I've never liked ATI drivers but loved their cards. I'm torn in my upgrade path though.... I don't want to get an intel rig again, I want to go back to AMD but I don't want a 980a chipset. I mean isn't that a few generations back from whats on intel boards? I miss SLI on good AMD mobos like the DFI Ultra-D
SM2.0 is DirectX 8 Performance, SM3.0 is DirectX 9 Performance. DirectX is used to render games, most new games use DirectX 10 but most games more than a couple years old use DirectX 9....
I played Crysis with my 8800GTS 320MB...
It was rough with too much AA or res but it wasnt bad 1600x1200 with 2xAA. :)
Massive improvement in BC2, smooth, and stutter free.
dudes, 260.63 beta is out on nvidia's site:up:
They never stop now do they lol , we are like the slaves for nvidia
The love just keeps coming atm. I'm not sure how nV are suddenly getting so much performance out of Fermi, but as long as theres no cheating going on its all win.
