GSKILL FLARE achieves highest AMD ram frequency

Whats the difference between these 2? Are they using the same chips with different binnings?

The last kit costs quite abit more(where i can buy them...) so could I safely buy the 1800MHz kit and not make a bad buy? I heard G.Skill aren't exactly the best at binning, more like they do random binning so if the sticks have the same chips you should be good to go with either?

Also how does these chips (PowerChips?) respond to higher voltage? Also is there another good option for an AMD user?

i think this is incorrect, GSKILL are quite good at binning.. but at the same time, you might get a 1800 kit that performs similar to 2000 kit..

simply put, if you want best performance get the 2000 kit, but you can probably get the similar performance with the 1800 kit, but thats a *PROBABLY* not a definately :)

These Gskill are fab on the Asus 8 series lineup, Gigabyte compatibility upcoming !! Can't wait to test them on the new PCB's...

just taking a look at this kit on the Crosshair IV Extreme, seems to push the rams nice also, i am sure Brian could push over 2400MHz on this platform also,

but if you tighten it up a little, it also looks nice, this is with the FLARE kit, cpu and ram on stock air

Can you get the same or similar high clocks with the cpu oced over 6GHz ?
What was the vdimm you used for these clocks ? :D

yeah 1.7v used here, dont really see much scaling with volts so 1.7v is comfortable,

if we look at high clocks like 6ghz+ then you will loose a little ram clocks, but 1070/1080 should be fine... depends alot on your IMC also and how it handles all the voltages being high and the -180 temperatures
