+1 for this on all cores in next bios when turbo is disabled
@bingo13: Can we have some more information about the bus speed fluctuation?
You hinted something about a windows problem?
See it when around 14*300 but not at 13.5*311

The bus speed problem is not an Asus issue, but more like a CPU-Z application in combination with specific OS.
Try this clocktool to see if it still jumps :
thg_clock.zip
you mad shrimps guys get a chance to try that bios out on ln2?
If so like to compare notes.
What did you find out , Chew ?
I did some 3D benching on LN2 today & found the 0903 bios with no bouncing freq. problem
But the vdroop situation has become unexpectedly serious
1.875v in bios, shown in 1.824v & jumping from 1.824v >> 1.836v >> 1.848v >> 1.86v. And eventually stable @ 1.848v
Dunno if that's a CPUZ problem, which I dun think that is:confused:
Hmm......
Well, that's why there are read points on the board, so you can find out of it is or not. :)
I'm just happy I can adjust CPU-NB voltage now!
Will give the board a spin tonite then with the new bios...
Ht ref clock was still all over the place for me in Win XP 32 bit. :( Like mad says, Vcore isn't stable either. I hope later releases will be better. :(
Hi bingo,
I did some testing with the 0903 beta this weekend and I found something that seems a little odd to me....
I was trying to see the best my rig could do with all voltages set to "Auto".
The resulting voltages were 1.425 CPU and 1.35v on the IMC (CPU/NB), this was with LLC on for the CPU and off for the IMC..
The CPU voltage seems a little high (I know this varies from chip to chip), but the IMC seems really high for an auto setting.
I'm not too conserned about it since I'm on water and temps remain good, but I thought I would mention it to you.
sorry for the noob question, but what is average value of IMC voltages at auto? if you say that 1.35v is a little high, my Crosshair III is have 1.4v at auto :))
i think for stock 2000mhz cpu-nb 1.15v is default.. usually can get around 2600-2800mhz cpu-nb w/ 1.3v... 1.4 is def high unless your pushing 3000mhz nb 24/7 ;)
Thanks for the heads up nex... ;)
I guess I'm used to the "Old Timey Boards", where when you set things to auto it just sets them to mfg specs, or reads the voltages from the chip...
I've had this board for over a month and this is the first time I've tried the auto settings. I didn't even realize it did that... :p:
I'm still not sure I like it, but at least it gives you a ballpark idea of where to set things, I still think 1.35v is a little high for the IMC but at least I'm not too worried about taking it over 1.30v now.
For the C4F owners, the 0903 should not have been released as we are on 0905 in validation testing, which should be completed this week.
looking forward to it :)
How is the M3NHT's bios coming along. Users on Asus forum are having issues with multiplyer's not working and being locked out of higher multies. Im actually waiting for Asus or Biostar to get X6 bioses going, whoever gets it first wins :)
We probably won't get a changelog for 0903; it was a beta leaked to the public. One will likely be posted for 0905 when it is released though. :)
Any eta on leaked beta build for the M4A79T-Deluxe?
