1.6V for 24/7
imamage:some screens please? Thx
Guys,
I dont know about you but ive just read the review on the 6cores and the MSI 890fx GD70 and they say all in all its not that great. My heart was set on the mobo and cpu including a 5970, Could you answer one question is it really worth going to this if i have already a 790fxgd70 965 4.0Ghz 8gb 1600 only upgrade the graphics from 4870x2 to 5970.
What should i do.
1.6V for 24/7?! Are you serious?
I assumed that it would be in the same realm of the X4 965 @ 1.5V
ohms: yes, with air u can 1.55V 24/7, im at 1.535V with AIR without problems, max stress temps 61C with AIR (in real apliactions max 55)
this is SOI AMD, not high-k Intels ,-)
with my water i can keep 1.6v load temps on the cores around 50c
1.6v i safe with this processors on water, really? Hmm....
mind all of you tho, not all chips scale with volts.
mee too 1.63v 52c

Ok from my point of view is it worth upgrading to 1090T + 890FX + 5970 or since i already have 965 + 790FX + 4870x2 should i only do the 5970 upgrade. Would i see benefit in changing all 3 ?
guys i am new to amd overclocking. regarding tempratures which application you are mentioning to monitor. is cpuz hwm ok or amd overdrive? and the 62 degrees which we shouldn't pass, is it the cores temps or cpu's?
What batch is the cpu and week ?
Just bought an Enermax MODU 87+ 600W
(ordered it online from Taiwan, s)
and I got more headroom to overclock (I push the mATX 270W SPI too hard, lol)
Finally got 4.5GHz CPU-Z Validated

This new PSU works nicely with the setup ,
the fan is quiet (Rare to see Gold color with fan ;) )
and it run cool too
Too bad not much retailer sell Enermax in Hong Kong
thats on Air cooling right?
4.5ghz with less than 1.5v is incredible
imamage: omg....awesome
