same issue... theres a bug on the pwm apparently and every other reboot with above stock vcore results in the board dying and i think possibly killing the cpu(s) too...
asus official reply was that despite selling it as an enthusiast board and advertising its overclocking features, its actually not meant for overclocking at all, and if people run above stock vcore and the board dies thats their own fault and... just too bad...
iirc they took forever rmaing boards and refused to give people their money back as well when some of them tried because they wanted to get another board instead.
that has been quite a pr disaster for asus here at xs... but like i said, i think if anything their pr/support is to blame... sht happens, you cant prevent any and all bugs and problems, but you need to fix them and take care of them properly...
back then there was no other highend dual socket board that could overclock, but now there is one from evga, and they offer great support...
so i dont think any of the guys from the dc section will be getting an asus board again anytime soon :D
asus def needs to make sure they dont make the same mistake again... and they should overhaul their customer support, evga really has set the bar at customer support quite high...
