Putting Nvida and Fermi together in Google gave me this link as first alternative.
The GTX480 is a new GPU. Fermi is a new architecture that spans GPUs and GPGPUs
Thanks for the post, Fx I win a 480
It's marketing, if you give the info they want, your in.
Doesn't matter how you answer IMO:p:
I'm in it to win it!! Thanks Bill...:up:
good looking out BZ! hoping to win me a pixel fryer...
Look at it this way, if they get it from you for this competition you have a chance to win a Grapphicscard, even if its a small chance its still bigger than the chance of winning something if they buy your data from "insert criminal organization of choice".
Anyway, entered, in the off chance that I should win, will the 5870 winner from the gpuz competition be willing to trade prizes?
Well you may thank me for notifying you, but you won't be able to thank me for winning a card ( I cut a deal with MSI and got all the cards for myself :D )
Where do you find the size of the heatpipes?
Actually MSI won't ask about the heatpipe diameter if they were using the thinner
It's the Fridge everyone: http://www.benchtec.co.uk/forums/sho...8&postcount=53
Answers:
1. The Next Generation CUDA Architecture
2. An overclock utility for VGA developed by MSI and Rivatuner
3. Lightning
4. Fridge
5. 8mm
Good luck!
I guess I screwd up the 1st answer - checked the new gpu instead of the next gen cuda architechture. No 480 for me (
I'm not convinced that the answer to the first is CUDA. Going by MSI's own promotional material, which you'd think their marketing dept would be consulting, they're referring to it as a new GPU core. The first question is a little arse anyway, because it's so damn ambiguous.
I went with GPU ...
Could be wrong but :
GF100 is the gpu. Fermi is a new arcitecture ( which spans multiple gpus; ie Telsa , Quadro )
Thanks for the heads up BZ.
Where and when can I see if I won? It's not written on the site with the questions.
I do believe the contest ends May 1st with the drawing(s) shortly after. They'll more than likely contact the winnner(s) by email.
That may be technically correct, but even so the poll response doesn't match up - the only architecture option specifically references CUDA, and of course Fermi is not CUDA-only. In addition, all of MSI's references throughout their website and promo material that I've seen consistently refer to Fermi as "next-generation GPU core" or words to that effect.
I'll certainly agree the question is terribly worded, but I'm fairly sure that "GPU core" is what whoever drew it up had in mind.
Right from the horse's mouth:

Thats where I got it too, I googled Fermi and that was the first response.
